 This is our third stay at Aux Coeurs Vendeens over the last 6 years. Although this year the site has new owners nothing much has changed to date. The site is very clean as are the toilet and shower facilities. The pots washing facilities are kept clean also with very hot water.
The bar area is a nice size although spirits are quite expensive and no bigger than a UK measure. Prior to the new owners taking over spirits were always a good measure.
The small take away shop provides fresh bread etc daily and the hot food is well cooked.
The swimming pool has sun loungers and is kept very clean.
The site is very quiet between midnight and 8am and during the day very little noise.
We have pre-booked the same pitch for next year.

Stayed here with our 2 kids (7 & 13) for the final 2 weeks of the (UK) school holidays. The site was very clean and friendly and being so small, safe too. Evening entertainment was very low key and as a result the site was very quiet at night although there were some pitches close to a busy road. The pool and bar was rarely busy and there was a very pleasant area around it (+ free wifi to keep our daughter in touch with Facebook!). Also on site was a crazy golf course (2E and mostly empty), takeaway (good), shop (very limited), play areas (with pointless Health and Safety age limits) and games room/TV room. We had to endure a couple of lengthy deluges during which a few large puddles appeared but on the whole the weather was comfortably warm and sunny. Our pitch was ample for our trailer tent including awning although some of the larger units looked a little tight, often using unused pitches to park their cars. The beach was a good 10 minutes walk away and was very calm and gently shelving although our kids preferred the larger waves we had experienced further down the coast. At low tide numerous families would come down to the beach to collect clams.
On the whole this was a very quiet and relaxing fortnight although this was right at the end of the French holidays and whilst we were there much of the area closed down overnight (1st Sept) including the campsite bar and local mini supermarket. Due to this the prices were very reasonable making this a very value for money site. We would definitely consider returning if/when we come back to the Vendee.
