We recently spent a lovely night at Grange Farm with our dogs. We chose this site as it was fairly rural and quiet but without being miles away from local shops, pubs etc.
The farm is off a quiet lane which is easy to find and very accessible. There are lots of fantastic walks straight from the site with stunning views.
In the evening, we met the owners, who were very friendly and welcoming - they recommended a number of local walks and pubs to us.
The site is well kept, with large, well-spaced out pitches. Electric is available along with a toilet which was very clean.
A great find and we will definitely be back!

Lovely clean quiet site. Great for bird watching with a variety of habitats. Lots of lovely walks with well marked footpaths.
This is now under new ownership and they are planning a new toilet and shower block. This will make it a very desirable campsite. Our favourite in the Midlands.

We have visited this site on many occasions as it is quiet, close to home and very good value.
The site is located around a mile east of tilton on the hill on a single track road (so cross your fingers) Access has deteriorated a little due to tree and bush growth, but as a full time warden has been appointed due to the owners ill health, hopefully this will be addressed. The gate is set fairly well back from the road, so entry and exit is not a problem.
The site slopes slightly top to bottom, and can becone quite boggy at the lower end near the water tap particularly out of season, as this part of the site gets very little low sun.
High hedges now prevent views across open fields, but again hopefully this will be addressed. Electric points are plentiful and water is fed at high pressure. Toilets are available at the farm, but we have never used them. At £10 per night it is good value for a short quiet break.
We will continue to visit this site

Stayed here for the weekend. The field was water logged so stayed in what is essentially the farm yard. Seemed a bit odd at first and not really to my liking, BUT, it was quiet. A bit of mud about but we put a ground sheet down under the steps to keep the worst out of the van. The owner was really friendly and helpful. We arrived after dark, he showed us to our pitch got a torch to help us get steadies down and even unwound a EHU cable so we could plug straight in without getting ours out. The views were really nice. The toilet was basic, preferred our on board bathroom. It would be nice to go back in the better weather. As we were in the area for a specific event we did not get out to any local areas or use shops, pubs etc. If around there again we would go back.
