When I arrived I was told that it was motorhomes only. No caravans. Although I had spoken to Kevin (the owner?) previously this was not mentioned.
The landlord let me stay for one night as long as the 'van was tucked away almost out of sight.
Apart from a water tap there are no facilities. The pub does serve food and I suppose you can use the pub toilets.
The best thing about it is the price-nothing.

What a gem of a find. The Drift Inn is a pub situated just off the A1 north of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, so it is an excellent overnight spot for those travelling North or South.
The pub has a huge hardstanding carpark at the rear, that the Publican lets campervans and caravans park on overnight for FREE.
There are no facilities, although the Publican did offer to let us use his personal hook up if necessary and obviously the pub can provide food, drink and toilets.
The pub food was fantastic, with large portions and the beer was good.
A well stocked Co-op is half a mile down the road, a cheap petrol station is next to the pub,a Chinese is nearby and the beach is about 5 miles away.
