This is a gorgeous part of France and this site is ideally placed to visit Le Roque Gageac, Beynac, Sarlat etc. Lots to do in the area and a 10 minute drive to supermarkets (although this is more like 30-40 minutes in August crowds). We booked this for a week - mainly because the one we wanted was full!
Like the previous reviewer said, this site fulfils the brief; shop, bar, kids room, river swimming, canoeing, heated pool and play area but these are nothing special.
When we arrived France was in the middle of one of its worst summers ever. Non stop rain, storms and flash floods. Set below the level of the nearby river, much of the site was underwater but keen to fulfil their booking the site owners seemed to double up on pitch space and we were crammed in like sardines. Our guy ropes crossed with the tents either side and behind us and the vehicles were right up against the tents. Very cosy and extremely muddy. Toilets were cleaned but at the busiest time of the morning and there really wasn't enough for the amount of campers.
Staff were friendly and helpful as were our fellow campers. Like I said we booked for a week but the weather and crowds meant we were ready to move on after four nights. Average campsite in a great location, just check the weather forecast before you book.

We stayed here for 7 nights; having paid for 4 we decided to stay for 3 more, although extreme heat, lethargy and my daughter's love of the Domme / Beynac area had a lot to do with that.
The site is huge, but has some big pitches so never feels cramped. There are no views of the river, but has a good, long stony 'beach' area that can be accessed easily from wherever you are. Most pitches are well shaded. The river is lovely to swim in, but of course very very busy!
The main sanitary block is huge, with more showers than I've ever seen, and were very clean and well kept BUT they clean both blocks at the same time each morning - between 8 am and 10ish - restricting access to one side or the other, or to the central washing / washing up area, which means queues for the loos unless you are an early riser. The showers were fabulous with adjustable temperature control so you turn it down and stand in a cold stream - lovely in 40+ temperatures. The washing area had lots of sinks, but they didn't have draining boards, so the water ran onto the floor, and though people were very good at using the squeegee it could get a bit slippy. There were lots of laundry sinks as well, and 2 huge and very efficient washing machines.
The pool is heated - which was not at all welcome in the extreme heat, but we spent most of our time in the river anyway. Incidentally, the website shows the pool surrounded by old wooden sun loungers - these have been replaced with plastic ones, and there are loads of them - but always taken!
There is a small shop that sells basic stuff; you can order bread for the morning, but they had lots more to buy as well.
There is a restaurant on site beside the pool that seemed to do nice food, and you get a 2 euros reduction ticket when you first arrive. We didn't eat there, but we did get frites from the takeaway which were ok. There are 2 bars - one at the restaurant/takeway, and one near the shop on a terrace above the huge petanque area.
You can go canoeing to or from the site, although my daughter and I chose to go the la Roque Gageac instead, because we wanted a shorter trip that went past Castlenau and Baynac.
The biggest down side for us was noise at night - every evening we could hear thumpy-thumpy music coming from somewhere - whether it was the bar on site or La Butte up the road or the site across the river we weren't sure, but it disturbed our evenings and sleep as it went on quite late.
The reception staff speak excellent English, as well as other languages, and are really helpful.
All in all I liked the site - you are only ten minutes from Sarlat with all its supermarkets and the hell-on-earth that is its food market (never again!), and within easy reach of all the most popular places on the river. I would go back.
