We have just returned from two weeks on this site and have to say was exceptionally happy with our stay here.
We wanted a quite few weeks away so picked September after the kids returned to school and that's exactly what we got. Although having spoke to members of staff the site does get very busy during school holidays.
The site is located in a fairly quiet area and you definitely need either a bike or vehicle if you wish to visit places, a push bike is great for cycling along the canals.
The showers and washing facilities were regularly cleaned and to a good standard. Showers had nice hot water too! There is also good washing machines that cost 5 euros or large laundry sinks to wash clothes.
Swimming pool was very quiet in fact some days we were the only people around the pool due to the end of season. Pool was very clean, warm and maintained. Great water slides too!.
We ate at the bar on a number of occasions and must say very happy with the food that was freshly cooked. Especially the pizza's. Yummy! Nice little bar too with a small shop next door. And staff were very friendly!
After looking at reviews before we went we prepared for the Mosquitos!. There were a few knats especially in the evening but used repellant and bands in the evening so kept the bites away and a screen on the motor home door.
We had a fantastic time there and will return sometime in the near future.

We stayed here for a week in September and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Having researched many sites in the Camargue and having the criteria of a small-ish site with a relaxed atmosphere this one seemed to fit the bill well. It was certainly the right choice compared to some of the sites on the coast.
The pitches were large and shaded (a novelty in the Carmargue) and the facilities were more than adequate. The showers where a little dated, but they were always clean with plenty of hot water and there were plenty to go around.
There is a bar area and a small epicerie along with a snack bar and pizza takeaway. I can't comment on the food as we didn't eat there, but the cold beer was very welcome.
The pool complex is good with the warmest water I have ever experienced in an outdoor pool, the plunge pool at the bottom of the slides was bath temperature. There were plenty of sun beds and shade if you wanted it.
Although there is plenty to see and do in the local area you definitely need a car or to be a keen cyclist to get anywhere. The site is about 2 miles from the local town and about 3 miles from Aigues Mortes. There are a couple of big supermarkets within a 10 minute drive.
Many people have commented on the mosquito problem on this website, but I have to say we weren't bothered by them at all. We did wear repellent in the evening and sprayed the caravan before we went in at night, but they certainly weren't any worse than other places we have visited in France.
All in all a lovely base for visiting a stunning area. The Camargue is very different to the rest of the south of France with plenty of opportunities for excursions or just laying on the beach and lapping up the sunshine.

We visited this site for two weeks just before peak season using ACSI card discount and it was very good value at just over £13 per night. The site was reasonably full but still quiet as not many children there. The pool was lovely too. Unlike other revues we did not have any issues with queuing for showers but as previously said we were not there in high season. Although the toilets did not have lift up seats the ceramic was shaped to provide a 'seat' so we did not find this to be an issue.
We had a reasonably sized pitch which was well shaded. Mosquitoes are a problem, but that is true for the whole area, not just this site.
Lovely beaches at La Grande Motte and Aigues Mortes was pretty too. We cycled to ST Marie de la Mer, which was 20 miles away but was a flat route.
The site was taken over by the Franceloc chain during our stay there so there may be changes/upgrades for next season.

A typical rural French campsite. On arrival, there was a tent on our pitch. This was dealt with very efficiently by the staff. Not enough toilets or showers, so had to regularly queue. Still a great campsite, pitch was spacious and partly shaded.
However, there is a real problem with mosquitoes. I can only go by my experience in August. Take shed loads of mosquito repellent with you. The local super market sells it by the bucket-loads (everywhere sells it). Citronella was great and so was Jungle Formula cream. Bitten badly on first night, then smothered ourselves in stuff. No problems after that. Also fly spray tent before going out.
That said, kids loved the site, pool was warm and slides were great fun. Pool very busy and beds were reserved early in morning, and not used till 4ish. Would recommend this site and even go back. Take Mosquito stuff and more.
Local village had bullfight (no killing!) and bull run.

Quite a busy site even though it was only June. The toilets were fine. The bar and restaurant seemed popular though we didn't eat there. Mosquito bands for sale in the office which we bought and had no real problem. The swimming pool was good and not crowded though it was very hot. Reception was welcoming and friendly. A good base to visit Aiges Morts and the little village was a cycle ride away. The pitches were a reasonable size with shade.

This is a great campsite to get away from the busy areas.
The site is near the beautiful Aigue Mortes walled town which is a nice cycle. The campsite was clean and well organised with a great children's park and pool complex. The pool got very busy in our second week and between 2. 30pm and 6. 30pm you would be lucky to get a sun lounger. Only one pool was heated and it was freezing until mid afternoon.
The toilet block was very basic (no toilet rolls or seats) as is the norm in France and you frequently had to queue for showers.
Our pitch was a reasonable size with lots of shade although we met a couple who asked to move as the pitch they had been given would not fit their tent. This was dealt with quickly.
The bar and cafe was good with live music and a pizza takeaway.
We went in the peak weeks and had a good time although the site was full and very busy. I would definitely return.
The beaches were a twenty minute drive and beautiful particularly near saint Marie sur mer.
If you visit during the last week in July all the local towns and villages have fetes, we were lucky enough to see Bull running and dancing etc worth a look.

A pretty site with lots of trees, some pitches shaded. Most pitches large, some have trees in the middle and were not suitable for caravans, these were mostly used by tents. No shop but bread can be ordered in the bar by 6pm for the following morning. Ice creams and drinks on sale in the small restaurant. We did not eat here but it seemed popular, pizzas and chips available to take away. Swimming pool on site which is a decent size, not huge but plenty of room to play. Water slides separate and gave lots of enjoyment to our children aged 12, 10 and 9. Plenty of sun loungers but busier at weekends. There is a playground and small field for children to use, with 2 table tennis tables. Showers are older style but very clean and powerful. Toilets had no seats or toilet paper, you need to take your own but again they were extremely clean. A basic site but friendly and quiet and ideal for a relaxing holiday. Ideally situated for Aigues Mortes, just a five minute drive away, which is the French equivalant of York (but far better!) Lots of canals nearby, beaches 15 mins away by car. Supermarkets 2 miles from campsite (Intermarche and SuperU). Small traditional village with restaurants and bakery 2 mins drive from campsite. Scenery and wildlife fantastic, we saw traditional Camargue horses, bulls, pink flamingos, herons and numerous other birds.
Ideal for a holiday without the frills and very little for the children to spend money on. The surrounding area is beautiful, lots to see and do. We would definitely return.
