We arrived having pre booked a large site. Very sandy pitch but large and pleasant. It had electricity but had the old style plug so we had to buy a new one - 18 euros at the reception desk but 10 euros in the local Spar. Lots to do but very French - so that put off my children 16, 15 and 12 although we did do some aerobics.
Not a particularly friendly site, however, when my daughter was found collapsed having fainted everyone really rallied round - in particular the security guard who came and found us.
A fantastic site for the beach, bit of a walk but well worth it. Everything is nearby - including a fantastic cycle path which was awesome.
We reused to pay 22 euros per week for the WiFi and instead cycled everyday to the Tourist Information where it was free! About a ten minutes ride.
The showers were always clean, and had hot, hot water - 24/7. BYO toilet roll was a pain though.
A deceptive site - so much more to it if you explore it! Great pools although we didn't use them much.
There is a Super you and Lidl about 10km away. Would return as not noisy at all at night, apart from the odd drunken surfer on the main road outside. Well protected 24/7 by security guards.
A lovely site.

A large site, busy but quite quiet at night. Pitches are sandy, we saw someone being towed off their pitch and we had to be careful to park so we didn't get bogged ourselves. Some areas have no shade (I think there was a storm a while back which blew down trees). Bring your own loo roll and the blocks have that whole Byzantine French arrangement where everything is mixed up, the block near us had queues for loos in the morning but going to the next block it was half empty. Very clean though. The beach is great, there is a lagoon for younger kids which was busy with toddlers and very warm. The location is the best bit of the site, there are lots of restaurants nearby (great pizza and the hotel nearer the beach did good food) and a supermarket, though the restaurants were busy at night, so lunch was a better time to eat out. We have stayed at another site near here where the beach was much further and we were plagued by noisy teenagers late at night so this site was much better from that perspective. And the surf is great!

We arrived at site without a booking and were offered a pitch for 1 week - however, each day we had to move to a different pitch. The first night was at the top of the site and very difficult to get into and although it was a hard standing, this was on sand and was not at all level, so much that we had a big drop to the floor from our door. As well as this, the pitch was a 'grande confort' most expensive it was small and not worth the £60 per night. The toilet blocks were old but clean, however, not enough showers and had long Qs. The other pitches we were given were not suitable for a motorhome, being just on sand, so we decided to move on.
The site itself was well situated on a lovely beach, good for surfing and fully protected by strict security guards.
We have teenage boys and would not return to this site.

This is quite a nice site, not the best that I have been to but certainly not the worst, facilities on site are good mixed sex toilet & shower blocks good pools (don't forget your speedo's)and good shops at the entrance to the site, pitches are not as well kept as I have experienced abroad before and most of them are on a slope. The beach is near by but the walk can be difficult through deep sand which is not great if you have a small family also sea is also rough (great for surfing).
Night life is good with plenty going on around the local square and with good entertainment on site for kids & adults although noise can go on until late into the night.
All in all a good site but wish the pitches were a little better and some facilities where more upto date.

Have just returned and will be visiting this campsite again next year. We pre ordered a grand comfort site but when we arrived it was very stony and unsuitable for our tent. The staff quickly gave us the choice of a number of suitable sites and refunded the price difference. We have an eleven and eight year old boys who loved it here. The pools were clean and attendants very vigilant. We were a ten minute walk from the beach. The beach was spacious with deep sand and the sea became very deep quite quickly. The waves were large and at times my younger son had to be held on to. There was a children's club but the leaders only spoke French so my children felt insecure and did not attend after the first day. The site itself was well cared for and security was tight. The showers were spotlessly clean. Just outside of the site were many restaurants and bars and on two days a small market. The other tourists on the site appeared to be avid surfers so most people returned from the beach late and had a quiet night. In fact all was quiet relatively early each evening. My children particularly enjoyed the large viewing platform in the site from which we watched the sun go down over the beach each evening. Can't wait to go back.

We visited this site late season when it was not too busy, the location is fantastic, 300 meters to the sea, 200 to the beach. The facilities on site were excellent, nice friendly bar, we travelled with our dog, an 18 month old German Shepherd and she was made so welcome also, infact in one restaurant she was given Fillet Steak whilst we had to pay for ours! The site was very well maintained, clean, Swimming pools well tended, felt secure with plenty of security and life guards. Just across the road from the site there is excellent cycling to be found. The site also offers a number of cabins for rental at very reasonable prices if you do not fancy the quite long drive. We drove down from Cherbourg with an overnight stop and back to Roscoff for the Plymuth ferry, this one was not too bad. We have now moved back to Norway but still plan to visit the site again next year, albeit by motorhome not caravan. The only thing I would say but am not sure as we were there off main season, I would think the site could be very busy and crowded though July / August. Although the 'Grand' pitch we had was very comfortable, large with all facilities, water, drainage etc. Highly recommended.

We have travelled to France three times in recent years and St Martin has been the best all round site we have visited. Its a trip to get there but worth it.Proximity to the beach is great, you can go over the sand dunes or down the board walk. They are extremely security conscious and all the security guards check you out regardless. You are right beside the nightlife but you feel safe and it dies down not too late.We have a 2yr old and a 7 yr old so quiet is important. The off site shop is at the camp gate and has it all.The toilets etc are kept clean and the beach is Fabulous.Wonderful waves that knock you clean off your feet.I had to hold onto my 7 yr old all the time though.Life guards everywhere. The sand is deep and we had to carry the buggy down to the shore.A bit of a pain. All in all its a great spot and we will drive back there again this year.Oh I forgot to ask that our pitch was beside water but it wasn't and our hose was a long one but not long enough so we had to hoof water every second day or drive to the water point.
