Good points: location is quiet with lovely rural views and an easy 1. 5 mile walk along a country road into Whitchurch which has lots of excellent pubs.
Owner was helpful with booking and queries. Facilities were clean and plenty of hot water, and there is no extra charge for the showers.
Not such good points: this is a farm and the main camping business seems to be the storage of caravans, mainly on permanent pitches. There are only a few touring pitches and they are furthest from the toilets in a slightly sloping field.
The facilities are basic and could do with being updated. The shower cubicles are very small, there are no shelves or hooks near the sinks.
The washing up area is accessed via the ladies toilets which felt a bit odd, and it is tiny with just two sinks, no work surfaces or shelves.
The site was not busy when we were there and so the facilities were not heavily used but they may not be adequate at busier times, especially the washing up area.

Quick dog walking getaway for a sunny weekend.
Communicative and easy to deal with.
Grass Pitch was large and well mown.
Electricity available if wanted. Quiet.
No problem with raised campfire/bbq.
Some distance from toilet block. Facilities in the block excellent, clean with plentiful hot water.
Walkable to town down a quiet road. Would visit again.

Easy to book and arrange, the hosts are a lovely hospitable couple.
The campsite is lush and very green, easy to get your tent pegs in the ground.
The facilities are good and clean.
There are sheep and a donkey called Noah.
Whitchurch is a one mile walk away or take the car if you're not able to walk.
There is a slope in the camping area so think on when you choose your space!

The site is ok but not really that great for motorhomes, more for caravans and tents
Within easy reach of the lovely Whitchurch
We enjoyed our stay and would stay again if the ground was a drier

Very nice 2 night stay at this site. Very pleasant communication with the owners. The shower block is adequate for our needs. As we are retired the only thing we didn't like is that the children were allowed to play ball near our pitch, so an area away from the pitches for this sort of thing would be a good idea.
Whitchurch was only 1/2 hr walk from the site and is a lovely town. Loads of pubs to choose from and the church is beautiful. It was a shame that most of the shops were closed - still it was a Sunday.

We decided to make a last minute getaway for 1 night and found this site. The owners were very helpful via email, and more so in person. Being the end of school holidays we had plenty of choice to pitch on the camping field. This does slope as would be expected.
The male washing facilities were clean and I didn't hear comments to the contrary about the ladies.
Just before we left we heard about the play area and walks off site, but the filed was large (and quiet enough) for toddlers to play anyway, plus opposite the site entrance is a builders yard where a digger was working which gave some interest.
As we only stayed one night we didn't go into Whitchurch for food so cannot comment on that.
We will probably be returning next year despite its close proximity to home.

My husband me and our 2 children camped for 1 night as we hadn't camped before we choose the campsite as it was only an hour from where we live.
The facilities were very good and very clean. 3 toilets and 3 showers in the mens and the womens block.
The children enjoyed seeing the donkey.
Would love to stay again.
Supermarket was 5 minutes drive.
No children's play area but children played football.
