We visited this site as part of a four week tour of France and dipping into Spain, and it remains in our memories as a site we will never forget for all the right reasons. The drive to it is through some absolutely stunning scenery, you felt as though you were in another world.
We were on one of the terraces higher up, and although our pitch was not as large as the previous reviewer's was, it was perfectly adequate for our needs. It is in a beautiful and secluded location, and that for us was the reason we loved it. However if you had asked our four children, it would have been the discovery of the river beach, and the 'rapids' (really just a stream tumbling over rocks and stones) which were apparently just begging for someone to ride down them on a hastily inflated lilo, and with someone at the bend holding out a stick to stop them floating further where the rocks became bigger so you couldn't go further. The joy on their faces as they went down the 'rapids' is something I will never forget, a truly magical childhood experience of many that they had whilst camping.
The only downside and this is really not a major issue, is the lack of provisions available to buy on site, although the 'fruit man' came round when we were there, selling the most gorgeous nectarines I have ever tasted, also the terraced pitches were very dusty, and as it was windy, everything ended up covered in dust, but a minor gripe, and not something the campsite have any control over.
As far as anything else, I am in total agreement with the other reviewer, that this really is a lovely campsite, and I would go back there like a shot.

We visited this site the day after it opened for the summer, and we were the first ones to arrive. Pretty much the whole of the time we stayed there were only about 3 or 4 groups staying, so please bear this in mind when you read my review.
It is set at the end of a twisty windy 3km track, and at the time we were staying they were widening some of the road to allow units to pass. I am told there is some signaling system to stop you meeting caravans coming the other way (I think there are scheduled departures at 0930, 1100 & 1330). It is set on the side of a hill over looking the river, and is quite steep and arranged in terraces. We chose a pitch nearest to the river at the bottom of the hill. It meant a walk up the hill to the nearest heated ablutions block, but that was a small price to pay for the peace and quiet. Don't worry about towing your unit back up the hill again either when you leave, as they will tow your unit back up the hill for free with their Jeep. Pitches are of a good size and flat, plenty of space for a 24ft caravan with full size awning and car.
The area around the campsite was very picturesque, and quite unspoilt by tourism, certainly much better than the area around Pont D'Arc, which seemed quite tacky and commercial in comparison.
There is an outdoor pool with slide, and also a heated covered pool for the colder days, which we used just about every day, most days having the pool to ourselves. Restaurant and bar were open everyday, and we did sample the restaurant food which was excellent. There is a children's play area near the river, which was great if a little old.
The nearest supermarket was 18km away, so you need to make sure you get everything when you go. There are a couple of small shops in the village, so you can get bread etc most days. You can also order bread from the shop when it is open.
The family that live on and run the campsite are probably the friendliest campsite owners we have ever met. They could not do enough for us. I am not sure if that was just because we were the only ones there, or if it was because it was so early in the season. We are already working out when we can visit next, probably in the summer next time, because although the peace and quiet was good for us, the children missed having other children to play with.
I would highly recommend this site, and probably one of the top five sites we have ever stayed on. Can't wait to go back again.
