We found this site not to be as described by previous reviewers. The owners are Dutch and while the female owner was pleasant we did not like the attitude of her partner. The site is on a very steep hill. The facilities block (which I admit is modern and clean) is at the top of that hill. For anyone with walking difficulties it is a hike from the pitches at the bottom by the lake to the loos and showers. We also found the owners very dog 'unfriendly' despite keeping our muts under control and never allowing them to foul the site (we always clean up wherever they are).

The site is also at the end of a 10 km dead end road. The nearest shops are over 10km away if you want to stock up. Maybe OK for fishermen and boat enthusiasts but not a site I would recommend.

A small quiet site with lovely lake. Facilities were always clean. A small recreation area with a few games and books.

The owners of the site were brilliant! Very welcoming and massively helped us out when realising we'd got there and not packed the pegs! Owners also speak fantastic English, which was very handy as our French is very poor.

Daily delivery of bread, except Mondays. Our kids loved to ride their bikes up every morning and collect our order.

We spent most days on the lake, we had kayaks so able to explore the lake and go off and find a private bit to sit and relax.

All other campers very friendly.

Other review said about hill to toilets - yes it is a hill but nothing to complain about unless disabled in anyway!

Was a 40 minute drive to big supermarkets, so used to go out every 3rd day. A little French shop was nearer about 15 minutes away but we never used it.

I'd highly recommend if you wanted a quiet site and your kids don't expect a pool and club etc.

This is a small, well tended camp site in a beautiful location which is well off the beaten track. There is no on site shop and the nearest shop/village is a good 10-15 minutes drive so make sure that you are well stocked up before going. We stayed for two nights on the lakeside pitches which meant that the walk to reception or to the toilet/shower block was up a short but very steep hill.

The facilities are modern and clean but despite there being a good number of people on site the ladies toilets/showers were not opened and everyone had to use the men's facilities, which I personally wasn't too comfortable with.

The surrounding area and the lake are really beautiful and the owners are very knowledgeable about the area and speak excellent English.

There is a cabin by reception where there is a selection of books in different languages and a few children's games but I would be reluctant to recommend the site to people with children unless they were particularly keen hikers or boat owners.
