We stayed for just one night whilst travelling on enroute to Cornwall… On arrival we received a very warm welcome and prior to parking up we sat inside and had a drink.
Because we arrived on a Sunday the kitchen wasn’t open, but was told there was a local takeaway that delivered and could eat it in the bar if we wanted to.
The overnight stop is ideal and literally just 5 minutes down the the road after turning off the M5.
The Bowling Green Inn is situated on a bend just before you reach the village of Stoke Prior. You enter through a car park and onto a suitably level grass meadow at the rear of the pub, which has plenty of shelter from surrounding hedgerow’s and trees.
There is some low level noise from a main railway line but its hardly noticeable and seems to stop at night….
There is a place to empty your Elsom and a tap for water, plus a general waste dustbin which seems to be used by customers when seated outside at the rear of the pub.
The cost for the overnight park up was £8 and comes recommended. We will be using it again….

It works great as a stopover for the night, very cheap £8 for the night, and pub on site.
Nothing to do but drink and eat, great staff, well the one I spoke to lovely girl.
But suitable for what I needed, will be stopping there again.

Field with water and elsan pt behind pub. We were told to put the van anywhere.
There was only one other parked up. This site suggests there's a kids playgrounds but we didn't look so didn't rate. We had a basic pub meal - cheap and cheerful.
The pub had decent wifi. A great position for stopovers just off the M5, which was great for us, splitting the journey down to the ferry at Plymouth. We were charged £7.
Would stay again.

Like previous reviewer, great nights sleep, the proximity of rail and road was not an issue overnight.
Level site, quiet with water tap, waste bin and toilet emptying facilities.
Great pub with good beer, nice folk in bar. Good price for overnight.
Make time to walk along the canal nearby. It is well worth a stroll

Just stayed at this site for one night. First the downside. It's next door to a railway, on a fairly busy road and not far from the motorway. Having said that we didn't find any of that a problem and we live in the middle of nowhere where you can hear a pin drop at night so noise is not the norm for us.
It's very well located for many places like Stratford upon Avon, Bromsgrove, Droitwich, even Birmingham. Shopping is close by in Bromsgrove or Droitwich and the huge garden centre Webbs of Wychbold is on the doorstep.
It's a no frills site with just fresh water accessible at the front of the pub and an elsan point at the rear by the camping field. Because it was so wet and being a motorhome we stayed on the car park but there was a caravan on the camping field which is large, fairly flat and in the summer must be a nice area to camp on.
The pub is clean and has friendly owners and serves excellent basic pub food at a remarkably low cost. It also has a bowling club attached. We were there on a Friday night and it was quite lively. It's a Banks' pub and the beer was excellent and very well kept.
Dogs are allowed inside. As we ate and drank in the pub we weren't charged any camping fees but that may have just been a one off special offer. We will definitely use it again.
