The site is well laid out with plenty of space, didn't use the facilities as we use our own, but had a look in and all looked tickety boo, wind turbine and solar too tick the eco box.
Good walks straight from the site, dogs very happy, we had a couple of clear nights and the sky was awesome.
The single track road in is easily the best maintained surface of any in western Europe.

Lovely campsite with plenty of space.
Clean toilets and well organised pitches.
There's no pub but we did not try the Social Club which is open from Thursday.
A good old fashioned simple campsite with all the facilities you need.
Will be back.

A very quiet rural site. I pretty much had it to myself. The shower and toilet block is all powered by renewables and is clean and functional with nice hot showers and even a family bathroom. There's a washing up sink in there too. Nice friendly owners.
I pitched my tent on the Wark Burn side of the field and it was lovely falling asleep to the sound of water. Birdsong to fall to sleep to at night and to wake in the morning. A treat to see a couple of Tree Creepers among the abundant birdlife on site too!
Be aware that this site is very rural with the nearest village with a shop being Wark, six miles away, which has the lovely North River Tyne running through it. There are some basic provisions stocked at reception though if needed.
For me the site was ideal as I was using it for local walks but also using it as a base to explore other places in Northumberland as I had a car.
Definitely recommended as a nice quiet site in a lovely part of the country.

What an amazing site, truly a rural gem.
Very friendly owners, loads of space when we were there and area is beautiful as well as quiet.
Bit of a trek to Kielder Water but lots else to see.
Unfortunately we had to cut short our stay due to illness but was a memorable place.
Facilities very good.
Access road ok if you drive down it very slowly!

On arrival we where greeted by the owner and shown to spacious green well kept site surrounded by trees and the showers and toilets were immaculate.
We chose our own plot and it was quite and relaxing. We enjoyed our stay immensely and will look forward to returning

Excellent site, toilet block excellent if a wee bit tired. Grass only but kept cut. Very welcoming new owner.
Powered by solar and wind energy.
£11 per person plus £4 for electric hook up made it low cost for one.
Attractive village and area, view the totem poles! Village hall open Thursday evening through the weekend.
Run by volunteers, welcoming and low priced drinks.

Been coming here every year for ten years now.
It's under new management. (Sad to see Alan leave)
Toilets were so clean, pitch is spotless.
My car was flat in the morning and the owner helped me start it back up again with his jump leads. Thanks.
So happy with the new owner and will be going up again in a few weeks.

A lovely site for those who appreciate nature and don't require luxury and entertainment, although there is a convivial bar in the village Thursday to Sunday.
It is an environmentally sensitive site, the excellent facilities run on wind and solar power. We camped in Storm Francis but had shelter from the wind. Although some parts of the ground were very wet it drains well and is firm. The owners live adjacent and are very welcoming and friendly.
All the c-19 guidelines are followed. Walks from the site. Been coming here for years and love it.
