 Easy to find, Great location for fell running/ walking and really close to Keswick.
Nice clean toilets and shower, great dish washing facilities,
Loved the self check in

Great site, with amazing views over the fells and has the facilities to empty your waste and fill up with water which is all you need with our campervan.

We stayed three nights on this great little CL. There are fantastic views and it is very quiet and relaxing.
We were on a grass pitch but there are a couple of hard standings also. There are no facilities other than water and chemical toilet disposal tank - still situated, as someone else has mentioned, above ground but I understand it has been lowered into the ground a bit recently and it was not a problem.
Excellent value and very friendly owners.

Just returned from two nights at this lovely quite site. We were on the grass as the hard standing were full however what a view we had and only two van including ourselves on these pitches. Great views overs Blencathra and some really nice walks from the site. No facilities just water and waste but nothing else needed as the position of the site was fantastic.

Super site - Marvellous views towards Carrock Fell and Blencathra etc. Very friendly owners with lots of ideas of what to do & where to visit in the area.
Motorhomes may need some extra length of water hose as, if someone if on the pitch closest to the water tap, it is a bit of a struggle to fill up.
CDP is also unusual in that the septic tank is above ground and the cassette needs to be hoisted up to empty it - strong arms required!
Certainly a site to recommend at only £8 per night. There is a post box at the entrance to leave your payment - but only if 100% satisfied! Can't say fairer than that!

Spent one night here over Easter and was impressed with this small site. All pitches are hardstanding and have electricity and there are water / disposal facilities, but no toilets or showers, but the site only charges £8 per night, so this is reflected in the price.
The location is pretty isolated, and the nearest pub is in Mungrisdale. Excellent views over the northern fells from all pitches. Overall, and excellent 'hideaway' for a quit break.
