Nice site with friendly owners. We stayed in a tent. Really like the camping field with great views and small playground. Grass seemed well maintained and was actually being mown as we packed up. The walk to the toilets and showers wasn't that far if you used the gate in the corner of the field. The toilets and showers seemed fine to us although we did need to scavenge for toilet rolls in another toilet. The laundry / washing up area was basic with one sink but there was a washing machine and small freezer. Across the road from site is lovely quiet road which has access to a lovely walk with great views! Not far from Aberdyfi which is beautiful and quite near to Snowdonia too. Lovely owners who were very helpful to us!

Stayed here for two nights just before the bank holiday. The site is in a beautiful location in between Machynlleth and Aberdovey, well signposted from the main road.
This is a really peaceful site - All we heard was birdsong. The toilets and showers were really good with plenty of hot water. We didn't see the owner until the morning we left but other people on the site were really helpful.
Loads of space per pitch which meant you really could enjoy the peace and quiet.
Nothing available within walking distance. As we had our Campervan this didn't affect us too much but expect to be either self sufficient or have transport.
Good site for kids to explore and run about. It all seemed pretty safe. Also now there is an area for glamping.

Stayed at this campsite for a long weekend. Had a lovely time, great facilities - nice toilet block. Good location, close to the beach, close to a market town, and plenty of tourist attractions, Centre for Alternative Technology and King Arthur's Labyrinth. Friendly family that own the site. Plenty of space, had a fantastic stay. Beautiful area on the whole. Would definitely recommend this for someone looking for a relaxing enjoyable holiday.

A lovely, peaceful family friendly site. Ample space for tents, basic but clean amenities. A lovely little play area for the kids the owners were friendly and went out of their way to help us.
4-5 miles away from the beautiful beach at Aberdyfi; loads of walks around the site. We also went to the King Arthurs Labyrinth which the kids also loved.
The village of Pennal is about a mile or so away which has a small shop and a pub the Riverside which serves the best food.
This campsite is in the best location. We will be back! This part of Mid Wales is a hidden gem there is so much to see and do.Highly recommend this site.

We camped here with our small family tent myself and one youngish child and found the campsite a good site let down by a few details for family camping.
We did like the location on the Dovey valley which was very scenic and the site is big enough for a little after dinner walk. Site was quiet of a night, we where not disturbed. A small play area for the kids with a nice well maintained climbing frame and plenty of space for the kids to run about in.
The road was clearly marked and drivers sensible, I felt safe letting the kids wander, which you cant say for all sites. The tent pitches have no electrical hookups and there was no laundry or plate washing and could find only one shower (I may be wrong).
The tent area was on a fairly steep slope which at least meant it was well drained and afforded good views of the kids play area, but made tent pitches sloped. The field is big and fairly well sheltered. The grass was not well cut which I personally hate.
The toilet block was a good walk (3-4 mins) and the return up hill, from the tent pitches which is a pain for very young or senior campers it was old but functional and kept clean. No extras like towels or soap.
The owner came round to check all was ok and seemed very willing to help and was friendly. There is no shop and no pub in walking distance so you need your own transport really.
On the whole an OK site, let down by a few details like long walk to the toilets and long grass, not really suited to long stays with small kids or those who are used to more facilities (power, hot water, laundry) during camping.
I thought it was a bit overpriced for the facilities provided, but it was a nice location, safe, clean and quiet.
