We stumbled upon this site by accident and was very pleased. Owner was most helpful and polite.
Just off main road, easy access, great views, very well maintained field, smashing open land scenery 👍.
Walks from the site to nearby, picturesque villages.
Adults only, use your own services.
£25 a night with electric👍

Used as a stopover point enroute from the North East to Rochester Kent as was very easy to access from the A1 southbound. Stayed for 2 nights of the bank holiday.
We first found this site when staying at the CC site at Top Lodge which was under pressure last October with the usual selfish families/children driving us to find an adult only site for next time.
This was a small holding some time ago being a long strip of land, one amongst many on this road, with a bungalow and secure gate at the front overlooking farmland. Behind this the area is divided into four sections, though not formally, as you can drive uninterrupted through them. These sections contain caged chickens (eggs available) - a log cabin which can be hired - water and loo disposal point plus to one side a small pig rearing pen and then at the far end the grassed area for the vans.
This ex small holding is the last one in the road so you have views to one side of fields and to the other side unused land formally an orchard I think. To the rear is a spectacular view over miles to what I presume is in the direction of Leicester. This is all most pleasant and most unusual.
There are electric points around one side and I would recommend the use of an extension lead so you can pitch where you like.
The owner Mr Munroe couldn't have been more helpful and was very obliging. We found his eggs very tasty and his pigs fascinating.Three small Tamworths and two Iron age. We also had fantastic sightings of the Red Kites as they hunted over the fields.
Close by you have Stamford, a charming town much sought after by film companies and of course the Burley House and estate. You can also visit Rutland, Oakham, Melton Mowbray etc.
Thoroughly recommend it. Price was £12 incl of electricity.
