Excellent site with new facilities and a warm welcome from the new owner. Well worth keeping in the memory for visits to Blackpool. One of the use it or lose it facilities. Pitches laid to hard and a good size with plenty of space for car and van.

Stayed here for our 10 year anniversary, with a planned going out and sampling Blackpool's nightlife, and it didn't let us down one bit.
The site owners where really nice and helped us out when needed anything, they left us to get on with it and no complaints about our late nights getting home. Although we got out the taxi's a little way from site and walked in quietly as being courteous costs nothing.
The site is lovely and clean, its well lit during dusk hours and they seem to be OK with pets and throw away bbq's, used on the gravel not the grass.
The toilets and showers where basic but what do you want for camping?? Warm water and mirrors for the missus to put her party gear on.
Blackpool was a £10 taxi into town, just be cautious with the taxi's, there very willing to send you hackney cabs which are more expensive. Next time ill probably do a little more research on the taxi firms.
Bus routes are about 3/4 of a mile from the campsite, the number 10 and run great except Sundays as to be expected anywhere. At £4. 50 a day ticket and this includes the trams along the front you get a lot of travel out of them.
Loved this place so much will be going again in a few weeks, and the airport didn't both us one bit, was silent threw the night anyhow. And at such a decent price what is there to moan about.

Booked this campsite the day before visiting and had absolutely no problems.
The site is relatively small, located off a narrow country lane with farmland opposite. The site is well sheltered and has level pitches for tents.
The facilities, as mentioned are basic but do the job perfectly. Lock on the shower door was broken and the ceilings were relatively low, making it hard to get dressed. They looked good and cleaned regularly but wasn't practical. During October the shower facilities were FREE and not 50p.
We did attempt to walk in to Blackpool, but after 1 mile of walking we came across a bus stop and bought an all day travel card for £4. 50 (£3. 50 if bought from pay point outlets). A taxi back from Blackpool cost us £14, should have been around £10 but the Blackpool taxi driver got lost.
Overall well worth the £10 fee for the one night stay, would recommend.

We have just returned from this site and although it is basic, 1 mens and 1 womens toilet with no hot water and 1 shower which does have hot water and a washing up area with no hot water, it is a lovely quiet and peaceful site. It is very clean and well maintained.
There was plenty of room for the kids to run aroundIt is a short drive to the seafront and to a Tesco or Morrisons. This is the 2nd time my kids (aged 5 and 11)and I have visited and had a thoroughly enjoyable stay.
If you are looking for 5 star then this is not for you but if you enjoy the real camping experience I would very much recommend this site.

On arrival to the site we were greeted by a very friendly man. The site was really clean and tidy, grass had been recently cut.Although there was only one male and one female toilet both were clean and as was the wet room although the ladies loo didn't lock but wasn't a problem. It was easy enough to catch a bus to Blackpool although the bus stop is about 1.5 miles away the walk is flat and pleasant, buses run every 10 mins. We thought that the closeness to the airport may have been a worry but planes stopped at night and we were lucky enough to see the red arrows. Would definitely use this site again. Just what we wanted.

We are not CCC members but no-one asked.
There is one shower which is for anyone on the site. There is a sink without a plug and no hot water for washing. The men's sink was not plumbed for hot water.
1.5 miles to nearest and only pub within walking distance - good food and a good pint mind you.
Bus stop into Blackpool is opposite this pub. We walked - nearly 5 miles to get into Blackpool.
Didn't see the owners until it was time to leave. Cost £14.00 per night which we think is ridiculous considering lack of amenities.
Would we recommend or go again - no, sorry.

We stayed at this very nice site, owner very friendly. Pitches for caravans on gravel, tents on grass, and with ehu on each caravan pitch. Pitches level, Bad point: no showers when we were there. Good points: 5 mins to morrisons. The bar just down the lane 2 mins walk. 10 mins to beach. Would stay there again.
