This was our first camping trip so the first site we stayed at. On the website it looked amazing. The area is absolutely gorgeous and the site is along side the river mossel. On the way we stopped at services and the view was breathtaking! The staff at the site were friendly and speak English. Entrance is by electronic card avoiding unwanted visitors. There is one sanitary unit, a small resturant and a swimming pool on site. The nearest supermarket that we could find (maybe the hubbys German was not as good as he thought though lol) was around 20 mins drive away. Access to this area is by very steep roads. I have never towed but imagine it would not be easy on roads this steep. It was not too easy in a fully loaded car. But to be at the bottom of the mountains makes it worth it. We pitched alongside the water and while unpacking our son was desperate to go to the pool and cool off. He was back within 5 minutes. The pool is so tiny and the water freezing cold. It is more like a paddling pool but deeper. The sanitary units were dirty and smelt. Sorry but I cant think of any other way to put it. Then came the final straw for us. Every half an hour or so a train passes through the mountains right alongside the river. This continued past midnight so the following morning we packed up and left.
