Stayed here for 4 nights mid September and could have stayed longer! Comfortable, peaceful campsite (even missed the clock striking after we had left) within wonderful countryside Hot days and cold nights, good friendly company, adequate sanitary block (loo paper outside of cubicles), free wifi, bar/cafe, morning bread orders and wonderful communal bar-b-q on Friday night. Helpful, friendly cheerful owners who made us very welcome. Excellent for visiting local town (Villefranche de Conflents - 3km) and so much to see in surrounding area. A must-visit site if in the area and good value for money.

Fantastic site. The Dutch owner is very helpful. Shower block modern and clean.
It is a very peaceful site with some large pitches (our tent is 9x9m) and we felt comfortable there.
We have two small children and there is plenty of room for them to run about and feel very safe.
Great views.
Good mountain bike routes.
Overall a great, friendly family run site.
Didn't try the food but it looked nice!

Camping 'Le Rotja' - in the village of Fuilla - as the name suggests, is in the fertile Rotja valley, rich with orchards, fed by water channels from the surrounding mountains. The valley is open, with great views of Canigou mountain (2,700 metres), snow-capped as I write. At the head of the valley, 2 miles from the campsite is Sahorre, with butcher, baker, wine cellar and grocer. Just under 2 miles to the north, the valley joins the much bigger, valley of the river Tet, which shares its valley with the N116, west towards Andorra and east towards Perpignan. Just after the D6 from Fuilla meets the N116, is the classic walled mountain town of Villefrance de Conflent, where the station is the meeting point of the mainline trains to the east and the 'Yellow train' - a narrow gauge line running deep into the mountains to the west.
The site, is reached off the D6, turning right, if approaching from the north, just before the church with the open metalwork bell tower.
Description
The reception building hosts the office, small bar and shop - at which bread orders are taken - and BBQ area - 20 Euros for 4 course BBQ on Friday evening.
A good winding track leads through the site, up through pitches sheltered by a trees, with plenty of electric points, before opening to a few unshaded pitches at the top of the site near the main facilities block. The pitches are grass, but the ground under is firm, coping well with our campervan, despite some rain. There are about 80 touring pitches and a few chalets for hire. WiFi is available on-site, for 5 Euros a week.
Facilities
There is a modern toilet block, with plentiful, clean toilets, showers, washing areas, dish washing location, laundry sinks and chemical disposal. Toilet paper and hot water are provided.
Behind the facilities, at the edge of the site is a small swimming pool. Back near the reception is a do it yourself library, a children's play area and, just by the gate, recycling and rubbish bins.
Conclusion.
A pleasant site, in an open, rather than steep-sided valley, relaxed atmosphere, with a friendly helpful Dutch owner (Wim Van der Vlies). Recommended as a base for touring this area, by car, campervan (as we've done), on foot using the high or low-level footpaths accessible from the site, or on the train just a couple of miles away.
