Only stayed for one night but this is a lovely quiet little site with lots of space and all the amenities you need. The facilities are clean and sufficient for a small site but it is a country campsite so don't expect the Ritz.

A wet wild and windy week in Cornwall was greatly helped by an excellent camp site that stayed relatively mud free despite very heavy downpours.
The site was quiet and friendly with lots of space.
We got a great pitch that was in a sheltered corner.
The site has Male and female toilet blocks with a shower in each. All hot water is free as are the showers. Everything is kept clean as well.
There is a small washing up area with fridge and freezer and even a microwave.
At £16. 00 for 6 of us with 2 dogs and 3 tents it is excellent value.
The water sports at the nearby Stithias lake added to the good time.
Would definitely stop here again.

What a gem this site was, so calming compared to crowded sites we have visited before.The Friendly/Helpfull owners explained they liked to keep everyone well spaced out, and would cut more meadow grass when needed for extra pitches.
We paid £12 a night which included EHU in June School Holiday time. Lots of wild life on site, and plenty of middle mown grass section for kids/adults to play games on.
Toilets/showers/loos were all up steps,you don't get top of the range facilities, but it is all kept clean.(Remember the low pitch fees.)
Microwave/fridge/freezer facilities were all free. Also saw washing machine and dryer.
Down the road was a large Boating Resevoir with Canoes/Boats for hire,next door a pub with it's log fire burning which served a good range of meals.Opposite the campsite was a butchers shop, and a general shop in the next village.Fish and chip shop also nearby.
Penhalvean Campsite is also in a good central touring position to St Ives, Falmouth, The Lizzard, Penzance, Helston and a few more miles further will take you to Land's End.

Stayed at this site situated near to The Golden Lion pub and Stithians reservoir for New Years Eve.
Absolute class. The site is basic but at this time of year what more do you require. It does have electric hook ups but the ground underfoot was soft. Needed the help of a friendly four wheel driver to get off. The site location is superb near to the reservoir and water sports centre. The fixed New years eve menu was first rate and the service in the pub was again first rate.
Will be back again I am certain.

Nice campsite,stayed for a week,owners very friendly, and helpful,
Toilets and showers are kept tidy clean, elec hook was nice and close to the van
Close to chip shop,just down the road, and the town of Redruth and well situated, to central Cornwall,and the beaches
Value for money for the time of year, will be visiting again
