I organised an overnight stay here for my cycling club's recent tour. The owners were very accommodating to our needs (half of the group were in their B&B), however, the overall experience was somewhat disappointing - a feeling shared by most of the group. It's certainly possible that a contributory factor for the campers was the camping area being plagued by midge. It's unfair to blame the owners for this, I realise, but we'd been booked up there for months - they could have warned us and mowed the grass. The camping shower/loo itself was a bit of a mess but the shower was very powerful. There's not much else to say about the camping. It's described by the owners as like wild camping so to expect too much would be wrong. Wild camping is free though.
As the organiser, I had my ear bent in the morning by a group of B&B'ers who had been made less than welcome and also felt that they had been massively over-charged. The Old Vicarage even charge to park the support vehicle.
Personally I was happy apart from the midge. The surprising offer of bacon sarnies and mugs of tea in the morning for the campers (at a cost) was most welcome and the owner was very friendly generally. Female owner should probably chill out a bit.

This site offers camping facilities on their small site, which is part of their garden, but only to C2C, cyclists and walkers, ie. All those that do not arrive with cars and are anxious to find somewhere tranquil where the coming and going of cars, doors opening and closing does not occur. ( They do take group support vehicles and trailers but this is to a limit of any 4 max.)
So please note, if you are not a cyclist or walker, and intend to arrive with a car, then this site will not be able to accommodate you.
