Lovely little site, had our SUP boards with us and it was perfect for launching straight into the loch.
Very friendly welcome, basic facilities but didn’t mind that.

A nice little site which we used en route to and returning from Ireland, only a few miles from Cairnryan ferry port. A lovely situation, on a peninsula in the loch, but unfortunately the weather wasn't good, story of 2019 so far. Follow the directions in the CAMC book and you won't go wrong finding it.
You will see the Esso garage in castle Kennedy before you arrive at the site, assuming you are driving west. Use your esso card, and it has basic supplies. There is also a Morrisons in Stranraer.
Go to Portpatrick down the coast, lovely walks around the harbour.
We would certainly use the site again if in the area, £15 per night is fine. Bring your insect repellent! being near the loch there are loads of bugs, and loads of lovely swallows eating them.

We have just spent a happy few days at this site. The pitches are very well presented and areas of meadow flowers have been left to attract bees and butterflies.
The views enjoyed over the loch are stunning.
All the everyday practical things such as water supply, chemical toilet disposal are made to look like an attractive addition to the site!
This is topped off by a very helpful and accommodating owner Mr Henry Hay.
This is somewhere to which we would wish to return.

Stayed here overnight before catching the ferry to Belfast - saved a very early start. As has been mentioned, this is a lovely peaceful site.
One thing to add to the previous comments, there is a fairly neat gate to go through to get into and out of the site. We have a large twin axle and managed to clip our awning rail on the gate supports on the way out. Despite this, we would go back to this site again.

We visited this Caravan Club only site with our two children aged 12 and 11 last August. It is a fantastic site, immaculately kept, small, peaceful and relaxing. It is almost surrounded by the loch and it is wonderful to sit watching the wildlife. We went kayaking on the loch most days in between visiting local beaches.
The owners Alistair and Nikki are welcoming and friendly but not intrusive. They could not have been kinder to our children. Maddie their dog is delightful as is their cat.
There is a toilet but no shower. There are hook ups available and each pitch has its own picnic table and chairs. There is no dedicated play area but lots of places within a few miles for children.
This is the place for you if you want somewhere to recharge your batteries, you will love it. We will definitely go back sometime.
