We are so glad we found this fab small site.
It is an easy walk into Bridport (though fields can be muddy - we had wellies - and there was only one stile but we could not get our dog through so had to walk on the road. Annoying when there is a gate in the gateway that is tied up! You can walk easily on to West Bay. (Really good path to West Bay from Bridport)
The staff at the campsite we encountered were really nice and helpful, the cafe and shop very nice and the pitches roomy, level and tidy.
The facilities are ok, couple of toilets and showers that are nice and roomy. My only (small) gripe would be that the facilities didn’t seem to be cleaned at all the whole time we were there (overflowing bins) and need a little bit of TLC.
We will be back though!

What a gem so glad we found it facilities limited but excellent clean and warm single units so plenty of room.
Farm shop and cafe excellent.
Footpath to town bit muddy this time of year but not a difficult walk.

Lovely peaceful site well situated for visiting the surrounding area
Showers and toilets spotless, grass cut nice and short,
Very good farm shop on site stocked with all your needs.
Bridport itself is a very busy town with loads of shops to browse around, and plenty of pubs to visit.
Would certainly recommend a visit to this site, we will be back without doubt.

Liked, shop and cafe, both great. Caravan site well laid out.
Only 2 complaints were very noisy, constant traffic, cars, lorries tractors etc. From very early until late at night. Also there was some kind of generator or something, which ran all night.
In addition, lovely clean toilet block, very nice except the toilets are for 5yr old. My tall wife struggled to stand up.

Have visited many times but first since re-vamping. Very nicely upgraded with spacious pitches.
On pitch water supply including tap additions, grass and hardstanding to each pitch.
2 showers and 2 toilets both immaculately clean especially important as Covid is still rife.
Farm shop and cafe excellent and covid secure.
One request. Easier access to the recycling bins and waste please.
Great stay, thank you

Washingpool Farm
Easy booking via the website. Lots of information was e mailed to me prior to arrival re check in process and local information.
The road from Bridport is very narrow in parts so care is required. All pitches are hard standing with enough space for awning and car. All have power, fresh water and drainage inc in the price. There's also free wifi. Try to avoid pitches 1, 2 and 3 which are closest to the shop and storage area. This is due to noise from cooling plant and early morning deliveries.
Many of the pitches have sea views.
If you are putting up an awning be sure to take very heavy duty steel pegs and a lump hammer. Surface is very hard.
The site is like a big CL but with 2 basic clean toilets and 2 showers. No bells and whistles but perfectly acceptable.
In Sept 2020 I thought the Covid preventative measures were acceptable and taken seriously.
The farm shop is worth a visit. High quality local produce with many vegetables grown on site. There is also a cafe serving drinks cakes and snacks.
It's a 30 minute walk into Bridport where there is a good range of shops and eateries. Lots of walks and small resorts nearby inc West Bay, Lyme Regis, Abbotsbury and Weymouth.

Lovely site, fully serviced, toilets/showers were open which was great! Farm shop amazing.
Easy walk to bridport across the fields. Only minor negative was that the pitch was a little overgrown (my hubbie weeded ) shame the owners haven't kept this tidy.
First impressions count!

We booked here because the farm shop was used in Broadchurch as owned by Lenny Henry. We were not disappointed. The CL site has just 5 generous sized pitches with water and drainage to each pitch. Fabulous view across the working farm fields to Bridport and the sea. Just one toilet and a chemical emptying point.
The shop is fabulous with lots of items to tempt you. We bought vegetables and some packet items before we left. The potaoes. Labelled as 'freshly dug' reminded me of how potatoes used to smell when I was growing up - Fresh! Carrots lasted longer than supermarket ones too.
Friendly staff in the shop and the breakfast we had on our last day included lovely thick toast! Before leaving we made a donation to the local Air Ambulance and took photos of ourselves with a life size cardboard cut out of Lenny Henry. Our only gripe was that the advertised free Wifi on site was not working on any of the 3 days we were there. We mentioned it twice but nothing was done.
Despite that at £17 per night for a fully serviced pitch it was terrific value!

We had a great 4 days at this campsite with our dog. The site itself has a great outlook - some road noise but nothing that kept us awake! And of course the farm shop is amazing. It must be remembered that this is a WORKING FARM and quite understandably they request that dogs be walked on a lead.
We were told we could walk the dog anywhere except the walk around the fishing lake which was fine. There is a 'permissive path' which is signposted to the main footpath. There are plenty of other places nearby that you can drive or walk to and let the dog run around. We had some great walks - despite the mixed weather.
West Bay is a must for your fresh fish and a little drive out on the road to Abbotsbury there are plenty of places to stop and walk some of the coastal path and admire the view of Chesil Beach.
Would thoroughly recommend a visit.
