Stayed in a yurt at end of late May half term. We have a tent and would have enjoyed camping here. Site was quiet and clean. My kids (9 and 6) loved it. The Olive yurt was very ample for 2 adults and 2 kids. The facilities are quite basic - would have liked separate sink for washing teeth as it seemed to be part of the kitchen. If you want luxury this is not a site for you. Long walk to drinking water tap. I think they could make more of the environmental nature of the site and give guests more information about the steps being taken towards sustainability.

We stayed for 2 nights as 3 families which included 6 young boys and a dog and we had a very friendly welcome. This site is a slightly different camping experience which we embraced and enjoyed!
The site is beautiful, in a lovely peaceful woodland area with walks straight off the site. No traffic noise, lots of birdsong. Lots of trees and natural divisions between various pitching locations. Ground sloping in places.
There are fire baskets to use (logs to buy at £5 for a big bag), or fire pits in other locations. The solar powered showers are basic but surprised us with how hot and powerful they are (2 singles + family/disabled one) - the floor gets a bit wet/muddy.
There is a small washing up area under cover. The whole eco sustainability side of things means the buildings are very natural and attractive (lots of wood, straw bales etc).
The one big downside we felt was the single toilet on site (another one was out of order) which wasn't sufficient. It is a drop compost toilet in a straw bale hut, it was clean, had a normal toilet seat and the sawdust stopped it smelling much.
Having to walk into the woods in the dark to use it was not good, especially with children.
There is a lovely vegan cafe on site, we can confirm the coffee, cakes and soup/bread were all excellent!
The Yurt looked lovely, and there are a couple of tipis for hire. There is also a youth hostel on site.
The children loved playing in the woods around the site and there is some open space for kicking a ball around, huge logs to climb on etc (no play equipment but we didn't need it or miss it!).
Once you've unloaded cars have to be parked in the car park (its only a few mins walk away)
This is a really friendly site, great atmosphere, not too big, but if you like your comforts you might find it a bit basic.

Very friendly and welcoming group. Very basic facilities but enough to cope with an overnight stop. They can supply bbq's and fuel if needed, we did after having taken 20+ people after a days laning The natural toilet was an experience but usable, don't expect anything and be surprised,
Bad points not enough toilets / showers and not the most level site in the world
