We stayed for 3 days to visit family in Lowestoft, this was the nearest site with a vacancy. It's small so your neighbours are quite close, but it's perfectly ok for a short stay and only costs £11. 50 per night with ehu, a bargain. There is still no CWD so the loo has to be used for emptying.
It's easy enough to find and the single track road from Monk's Toft has very little traffic. Once you are not towing you can go to Beccles (a lovely town) by turning left at the second junction. There are not really any dog walks direct from the site but the quiet roads are fine for this.
The nearest large supermarket with cheap fuel is Morrisons on the outskirts of Beccles which you will see from the A146. You really should go into the town and go down one of the several sets of steps to the river.
It would be a 10/10 site if there was a CWD and the area round the bins cleaned up a bit (no rubbish lying around but it's a bit damp and dingy).

Went there for a long bank holiday weekend.
We only live 10 miles away but needed to get away from everything and Dove Cottage is just the place to do it.
A small 5 van field in the heart of the farm (chicken)' with good hook ups, a shower and toilet plus water of course, not luxurious and you have to empty wastes in the same toilet, so empty little and often unless you have strong arms.
Field was nice and flat and well mown, with good access immediately off the road, there were trees and low buildings all round but the sun was not too shaded.
The site is in the middle of the countryside with fine walks all round, with Waveney River Centre 3 miles away or Beccles about 4 miles, both have access to typical river activities.
Beccles has several shops, two large superstores and emergency supplies with several fuel, food outlets from cafes to fine dining.
Several pubs in the vicinity, there are several that do food, very nice at that too.
Cockerels as mentioned by others were obvious but not loud, more amusing really, the fields all around had a mixture of animals, more kept as pets in next doors v smallholding, the main field crops were oil rape, which smelled gorgeous.
We would go again and again as it was sooooo relaxing.
Owners were very pleasant and also friendly neighbours too.
Highly recommended, basic but who needs more.

This is a Camping & Caravanning Club Certified Site, so please remember that it is members only.
A small, peaceful, simple and well kept site situated in an extensive, virtually traffic free network of lanes - this makes it ideal for cycling around. The whole area is roughly triangular, cut off on one side by the A143, and the two other sides by the River Waveney - have a look on a map to see what I mean.
The site comprises of a small field approximately 40m x 30m just inside the farm gate. The end room in the adjacent stable block has recently been converted into a very spacious toilet/shower room. At the time of our visit, the shower had not yet been connected to the electricity, so was cold only. There was also a washing machine without a coin mechanism, you are just on your honour to pay – nice to be treated as a respectable person occasionally!
Be prepared to be in the company of the usual farm menagerie of geese, dogs, sheep, horses, doves and - I nearly forgot -a cockerel. We could have done without him at about 03.45 proclaiming the day had started. On the second morning our friends fancied a chicken stew - and they're vegetarian!
No shops nearby. The nearest pub is the White Lion at Toft Monks. Nearest shop is at Waveney River Centre at Burgh St Peter. As neither of these is within comfortable walking distance you might as well go into Beccles, which has everything you need.
Beccles is a very nice little town to walk around on a summer evening. Of particular note is the Bear & Bells pub on the old Market Place. Very close to this is Prezzo’s Italian restaurant in an old converted cinema. In the town square, the Swan House restaurant is worth a visit - depends what you have, but expect it to cost approx £25 each.
A complete absence of traffic noise is very rare these days. Just my kind of site.
