Nice little site and very near to the pretty little town of lemgo, just a 5 minutes walk. Electric was included in the nightly fee so made a nice change from paying per kW. Laundry facilities poor ( broken machines and dryers) and the old lady who ran the site did not speak English. Even when you told her you didn't speak German, she just rattled on with the rules anyway. Came across as quite aggressive but I'm sure she wasn't. She had two grounds men working there who were English so that help tremendously Another cash only site but was not expensive at all considering the location. Would deffinately use again.

Small (compared to most German Sites) site of around 70 pitches on the outskirts of Lemgo (10 minute walk from centre of town, market day is Wednesday) split into 2 separate areas, both have their own facilities blocks which were clean and looked fairly new, showers (plus laundry room on lower block) were usable using preloaded (20 euros) swipe cards.
Top area is used mainly for motor homes and has concrete sub base.
Bottom area is grass with pitches alongside the river amongst the trees (could'nt get signal for satellite here). There are plenty of hook ups (16A) dotted around plus several water points. Chemical toilet point behind toilet block.
There is also available for use a 'cabin' which has cooking facilities (including microwave) which would be invaluable for campers.
Both areas do have a few permanent (seasonal) units.
Inbetween the 2 areas there is a lovely children's play area and next door is a large swimming complex with both outdoor and indoor pools. This can be a bit noisy up to 10. 30pm.
A 5 to 10 minute walk away in Brake there is an Aldi, Edeka and Penny supermakets plus a bakers.
Free wiFi is available near the office at the top.
Payment was by cash only, they accept the ACSI card.
Renata the lady who deals with bookings/payment speaks very very little english so conversation was difficult.
However also on site is Mike Prior, an English man who is the handyman, a great guy who is very knowledgable about the area and nothing was to much trouble for him.
Thoroughly recommend the site for visiting the lovely surrounding towns (particularly Hamelin on Sunday morning to see the re-enactment of The Pied Piper story) and seeing the beautiful half timbered houses.

To find site:-On the approach to Lemgo follow camping signs. Sat Navs tend to take you through part of the old town rather than round the ring road.
Campingpark Lemgo was formally two separate campsites almost next door to each other. The first part nearer to the road has those concrete blocks which the grass grows through and is mainly used by motorhomes although it does have touring and a few static vans as well. The part further down the lane is quite a rustic site surround by mature trees and similar in nature to a large CL. It can take in the region of 25 touring units although pitches are not delineated in any way. Like a lot of German sites is has a mix touring pitches and permanent vans. The electric supply is 16amps although some pitches require a long lead. Water points are dotted around the site. There appears to be no low level waste water disposal. The toilet block, whilst not new, is perfectly serviceable. The site is under enthusiastic new ownership and they are aiming to gradually upgrade the facilities. The first stage involves the refurbishment of a meeting / TV room for campers which will also have cooking facilities for tent users. In the autumn they plan to upgrade the toilet block. There is a tendency, when the site is busy, to cram too many vans into the one open area but allow others around the edges of the site plenty of space. I think I would be happy to recommend the site but be aware that it can be busy at weekends. This site accepts the ACSI Card.
This site is ideally situated for a visit to the delightful town on Lemgo which is only a short walk away. Almost next to the site is a Municipal swimming pool / lido which is popular with the locals. We found at least two supermarkets in the town. There are plenty of opportunities for cycle rides on the many cycle paths around the town. Further afield Hameln is 25 miles away and there is a local train to Bielefeld.
