 This is very much a 'French' campsite, we were one of only two English speaking families here in August so be prepared to be able to speak the language - even when checking in. Everyone we met or came across was very polite and friendly. The site is set in amongst pine trees, sounds peaceful but in the height of the season it was very very crowded. Many pitches were in complete shade which, given the inclement weather this summer, made them very cool. Most of the pitches were on uneven ground and/or sloping.
Some of the sanitary facilities are fine, some very outdated- all are shared 'mixed-gender' and most of the older ones are continental style. There is a motor home servicing point .There is a small shop selling bread and essentials and a cooked chicken can be ordered for the next day. The pool area is new and modern and open twice a day (closed for lunch)and has some modern toilets and showers attached which close at 11pm and open at 7am then close later in the day for cleaning.
There is on-site entertainment which is popular and loud and goes on until midnight, again only in high season. The boules pitch was constantly in use and cycling is very popular with trails through the nearby forested areas.
From the site you can walk for 6 or 7 minutes to local restaurant, shops and twice weekly market. Sea and beach about 10 mins walk away - again very popular and crowded in high season. In the opposite direction the town centre is a mile and a half away.
