 Louvarel just south of Dijon Yelloh campsite
Very welcoming reception
Meals at restaurant were lovely.
Beautiful area with plenty for rug rats, if you look after them with beach type lagoon water slides. Nice flat pitches lovely walk around many lake about 3 km.
Modern and well maintained wash blocks.

Visited this site in the past, always a nice and quiet stopover. But not today; very loud children's-disco animation, loads of new static caravans.
On the plus side: There's still the lake to make a stroll.
Won't return. Expensive.

This is a well-kept, well-managed site, adjacent to a large lake (lovely 3km walk around it) and a small, man-made lagoon (though the 'sandy beach' is actually hardcore, and not easy for little feet - or big ones- to walk on). Dogs can swim in the lake but not in the lagoon. You can purchase a fishing licence for the lake at reception (3. 50 euros a day).
We had a lovely, grassed, level pitch overlooking the lake and near to the sanitaire block (which is very good and very clean). Some of the larger pitches directly overlooking the lake are a bit more sloping, but have hardstanding areas near the access road. There are quite a few new cabins on this site but they're situated towards the top of the site so their presence isn't overbearing on the camping atmosphere. The few older cabins on the lower pitches aren't intrusive in any way.
There is a small covered pool near reception (which we really enjoyed) and a restaurant / bar on-site (best to book since it gets busy with locals as is not just for use by campers). I believe this is closed on Mondays.
The nearest supermarket is Super U, in Cuiseaux (5kms away). Markets are held in Louhans (Monday mornings), St Amour (Saturday mornings) and Lons-le-Saunier (Thursdays).
We really liked this site. The owners were welcoming, helpful and friendly and everything was really nicely kept. We will most definitely return, especially given proximity to the autoroute (one thing to mention is that it's definitely used as a stopover site, so fills up in late afternoon then largely empties again the following morning. That said, there were a long of long-stay campers here, as well. Mostly caravans and motorhomes - I think we were the only tent - but suspect that's due to the time of year we visited).

Easily found. Clean. Tidy. English speaking very welcomed. Fresh bread a delight in the mornings.
Even though the website clearly advertises fishing, canoeing and rowing boat we were bitterly disappointed when we were told
- lake isn't stocked until September
- no rowing boat and only one canoe but no oars
Also when we enquired about the leisure base, that is stated on the website to be located next to the site, we were told it's situated at the opposite side of the town and there was a bus service to it.
The pitches are exceptionally close together, you could literally shake hands with the person pitched next to you without getting out of your tent, or in our case motorhome.
However on a more positive note. The walk around the lake is nice and the scenery is stunning. Great for bikes or to walk around.
The newly built indoor swimming pool is stunning to look at and it was clean and well cared for. However management didn't want to know anything when my croc shoes were stolen, I was told CCTV wouldn't or couldn't be looked at, this was not going to be investigated. Needless to say this was and is not acceptable.

Excellent, friendly site, beautiful views over lake, very clean facilities, basic shop and daily bread delivery. Just outside the fence is a large fishing lake, a pond with wild otters in it, a bar, pizza restaurant and a swimming lake with beach. Large mostly flat but terraced pitches, some fully serviced.
No shops nearby and a complicated route to the site from the autoroute but well signposted. Getting back to the autoroute is of course not signposted so a good map is required. My sat-nav sent me a different way every time. Booked in for one night and stayed for seven. Can't wait to go back there. Great for walking and cycling. Camping Cheques accepted.
