We stayed in the large yurt (which had two double futons and a single) and it really was luxurious glamping!

The yurt was really spacious and comfortable (plenty of throws, rugs and cushions), had all the basic cooking equipment you could need and a wonderful log-burner (with a guard all the way round so ideal for our 10-month old & 2 year old). It even had fairy lights (powered by a solar-energy-store battery) to use at night which were lovely.

You were given a basket of logs which really would have lasted us for our 3 nights but we got rather carried away with our fires and so bought another half basket (for a reasonable price). It felt so luxurious to be 'camping' and yet be toasty warm - I got up to feed the baby in the night and didn't even need to put a jumper on.

The site is lovely and peaceful and you can't even see the other yurts and tipis. You have your own picnic bench and BBQ and can have a fire in the central fire-pit area (not right by your yurt). No cars are allowed on the site but there are plenty of wheelbarrows to cart your stuff up and the owners helped us to take our things up. They grow veg and have a board telling you what is on sale each day.

There is a central fire-pit and communal table area in the middle of the site but as the weather was poor, we didn't see anyone there.

There are compost loos on the site (about 100yards walk from the yurts/tipis) which were fun to use and nice and clean though they definitely smelt best when they'd just had their layer of sawdust scattered for the day than first thing in the morning!

In addition to these, there was a brand new prefab with two sparklingly clean showers (in individual rooms), washbasins and regular loos about a 300yard walk from the site (near to where you parked). Also in this prefab was a table and space to sit around. We never had to queue for showers but I guess that is expected when there are only 6(or maybe 5?) tipis/yurts on the whole site.

The site is near the most popular east coast and a short drive from Benllech with its beautiful beach.

It was quite expensive to stay but excellent fun for a special trip (it was for my birthday) and we would like to come back again. Perfect for early/late season when it is a bit too chilly for proper camping with small children.

We had a wonderful 4 nights here - 2 nights in a tipi & 2 nights in the yurt. The tipi was lovely & felt very cosy with the ciminea lit but tricky to get the hang of the chimney in the rain. The yurt was real luxury camping and a much better design for coping with the rain.

The owners are friendly and considerate - they made our stay very pleasant.

The site is beautiful, comfortable and very well cared for; it has great eco-credentials & it's a real pleasure to have no cars on the site. There are nice woods for the children to explore and hammocks for chilling out in.

The facilities are fairly basic but are clean and well looked after.

There are only 5 units on the site which means it is very quiet and peaceful.

Fantastic new experience for us! We stayed in a permanently erected, 2 person tipi. Luxury for seasoned campers, or a good introduction to newbies. Everything you could want was provided, all you needed to take was beddings, clothes and wash stuff. We stayed for 5 nights, and want to go back next year.

It was quite a hike from the car park, up a steep hill to get to the tipi's, but some wheelbarrows were provided to move your stuff. There are a few large tipi's and a yurt with communal fire pit and eating area. Our 2 person tipi, was set aside from the others, very private. We had our own picnic table and fire pit.

Compost toilets are available, near to the tipi's, which were much nicer than they sound! There was a caravan near the car park with a normal toilet, and shower. It was too much of a hike at night, but found the compost loos very well kept and nicer than portaloos.

Owners were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. They even provide firewood, and kept our pile topped up through the week. They grow their own veg which you can buy, along with fresh eggs. They have 2 barmy dogs, who do jump up on you, but are friendly. Also 2 cats, one of which adopted us and visited everynight. Probably not a site for anyone who doesn't like either cats or dogs!

There is one pub within walking distance, which does food (but didn't try it!). Shops are a 10 min drive away, with Asda, Aldi, Iceland and a few others. You definitely need a car! There are buses, but only about twice a day.

Can't really say anything bad about the place, apart from the sheep in the next field which woke us up at 5 am.

All in all, can't wait to go back next year.Hopefully with friends, might try the yurt out next.
