It is right beside beside the Peage and consequently is accessible but with the noise problems that result - all night rumble of traffic.
The site is clean, very big but some areas are not used regularly so are overgrown.
It's a stopover site, few people stay for more than one night - which gives it a nice quiet feel during the day.
Toilet blocks are good, well cleaned, have hot water.
Bread can be ordered, there is a swimming pool and shops etc. 5 minutes drive away.
Expensive in comparison to other sites.
The owner is friendly and will give information on the general area.
Perfect for a stopover, not so good for tents and longer stays.

This is a regular favourite site.
If you like camping in amongst trees and plants it is a haven.(1000 trees have been planted on site) Red squirrels, Woodpeckers (Grey green and great spotted) Wryneck, Long tailed tits and hoopoes have all been seen from my unit!
Leo the owner is an interesting man who speaks many languages. He also has a large telescope in an observatory and there is free WiFi.
The traffic noise doesn't bother us and we often don't move from the beautiful surroundings for days on end. The walk along the riverbank into Chatelerault is lovely and the historical tour of the town excellent.
