 We camped here on impulse, on our way down to France from Zeebrugge because it seemed too lovely a day to spend driving all the time. However, we ended up staying a couple of nights because the campsite was great and we loved de Panne - both the seafront and the town itself, which is charming and lively.
A tram runs the whole way along the Belgian coast so we also tried jumping on this, and spent an enjoyable afternoon in Kochsidje watching a parade.
But back to the campsite, which is very cheap and more or less on the beach. We paid 15 Euros for the first night, 10 for the second (including electricity). The place was heaving with young folk, which didn't bother us despite the fact that we are most definitely not young any more and with our pitch next to the tent camping areas (and arriving on Friday night), it was pretty noisy until the wee small hours. However, we are very adept with earplugs!
There were very few other Brits on the site. The showers were open and shut at different times, which you have to get used to. There is a restaurant on site and also a takeaway, which seemed a very good idea.
My partner actually liked this site the best of the four site we stayed on during our holiday. It certainly had a lively atmosphere and was wonderfully close to the sea, with excellent public transport links.
