Nice little site, very peaceful. There is no shower block but the toilets were open which was good during this "lockdown" period.
We walked down the road to The Bluebell for a drink. Ryhall is a lovely area, nice houses with lovely gardens.
We cycled into Stamford quite easily. Stamford is lovely. Then we took the campervan to Rutland Water and parked at Sykes.
Nice big car park. We did some more cycling there around the lake.

Lovely pleasant quiet location, Dog friendly site, close to the local village with great pubs, shop and post office, public transport at the site entrance, This is small site with toilet block wash hand basin no showers this was not a problem as we have our own facilities.
The proprietors are very welcoming and pleasant people who are more than happy to help.
Perfect for visiting Stamford, Burghley house and Rutland water plus other historical and nature sites in surrounding areas.
Plenty of lovely walks to go on with the dogs, woods and fields to choose from.
Will definitely be heading back to this little gem of a location.

Firstly The good.
Easy access from fairly quiet country road 3 miles North of Stamford, well tended level site, looks to be well drained. Waste and water placed discreetly bihind low fencing. Cannot comment on portacabin toilets as they were not used.
Now for the Bad.
I don't consider this site to be a CL as there were 9 other Caravans or Motorhomes either permanently or semi permanently occupied, situated 20 metres Directly in front of the CL pitches, separated by a small 2 bar fence. Meaning that these vans and all the extras that go with long termers including a builders van, were permanently on full view. Apparently this is 'different site'!
After returning from being out all day on the day of our departure we found that the electricity to our motorhome had been disconnected. (with our fridge left on mains)
Apparently this was done because we were not off site by 12am.
This was despite being told by the owners when making the booking that 'There would be no problem staying until late afternoon, AND that they did not have many other people booked on that weekend and had lots of room'.
Needless to say the resulting 'Discussions' about these issues means that neither party need worry about future encounters.

We have stayed at this site on numerous occasions and have always found it to be a very pleasant and well maintained site.
It is lovely and peaceful, always nice and tidy and the site warden and the proprietors of the farm are all very friendly and welcoming.

Good location with a request bus service directly outside the farm, Easy access in. The resident warden met us and showed us around. Basic toilet block no showers. Flat field with EHU. Grass had been mowed and collected. Large flat pitches. Disposal elsan point/water next to the loos. Good location if visiting Burghley house. Stamford is pretty town with lots of small shops.

A good 5 van Camping and Caravanning CS.
Entrance, and exit to and from the site is good, and it is easy to find.
The site is about a 7 or 8 minute walk downhill to the village of Ryhall with pubs and a village shop with Post Office. The locals were friendly and there is a reasonable bus service into Stamford.
On arrival we were met by the resident warden, and given the choice of any of the remaining 4 pitches.
The grass was cut short, and looked to have been collected, rather than just left on the top. Water and elsan disposal point are next to the wooden toilet block, with rubbish and recycling at the other end near to the entrance.
The toilets were clean, and there were wash basins in each, but no hot water. No showers, but then we don't need them being self contained.
There was a small amount of road noise, but nothing to be concerned about as this is just a minor road.
All good so far.
There was a collection of vans in the next field, seemingly seasonal pitches occupied by workmen. However these caused us no problems at all other than their comings and goings kicking up dust at times. Also there was a strong pig smell, from the farm, when the wind was in the 'wrong' direction.
Altogether a pleasant little site and value at £11 per night including 16A hook-up.

Small level site, even though there had been a lot of rain it was draining well.
Easy to find and good access to field
Toilets 2 ladies loos, 1 gents no hot water in either think they had just broken down. No shower but no problem for a weekend / few days. As it had been so wet the had some grass in them but ok you get what you pay for. £11 per night 2 adults, van, awning, elec 2 dogs
As for noise we parked behind road and the only noise was from vehicles going to farm but was not excessive and not at night, you could still hear the birds singing.
Site warden was there as you drove in, helped you parking unit and was on hand day and evening was very friendly and helpful.
Nice for walking dogs but on leads as there were sheep near by he did
Say at a certain point you could let them off.
The field next to it has seasonal vans on that shared the toilets but don't
think it caused any problems.
we were there over the bank holiday weekend and it was very quiet
We will go back there again next time that way

An easily accessible site with level pitches. There is a little road noise but on the whole a lot quieter site than some we have visited but pitching up nearer the toilet block is preferable. The toilets were adequate is about our only comment though there was no hot water for hand washing and showers were not available but that wasn't a problem for us. The only issue for me was that adjacent to the CS site was another site which used the same toilet facilities which weren't overly clean. Shame really as everything else on the site was good. The site manager was very welcoming and helpful and gave plenty of advice as to the best place to pitch for caravan and motorhome alike.

We visited this site because of its location to Stamford.
Good points
Very small and quiet (only 5 units allowed at any one time.
Host very friendly - even asked us if we wanted things from the shop as we put up our tent.
Location to stamford - 10 mins.
Very flat and quite sheltered.
Good electricity points.
Not so good points
Very basic facilities - no showers only toilets
Road can be busy so go towards the back of the site near the toilet block.
If you are going into Stamford - Burghley House is great and worth the money. Toby Norris pub in the town does GREAT pizza and wine deal between 6 & 7pm!
