This is a lovely site close to the town of Herbolzheim. The owner of the site speaks very good English.
The pitches are spacious and separated by small hedges and trees. We had a small utility tent and this was not a problem and didn't cost any extra.
The toilets and showers are spotless and not unisex! There is a restaurant on site which serves good food at a reasonable price.
The site is next to a municipal swimming pool complex which has 3 pools one with a diving area. It also has a crazy golf area, but we didn't use this.
There is a tennis court also close to the site. A short walk from the site is a fairly large supermarket which also has a patisserie which sells delicious German cakes.
I loved this site and will definitely go back.
The only thing I did notice was a sign saying no dogs between certain dates in July and August.

We found this site after turning up to a site in the hills of the black forest which was not suitable for our tent. We turned up at the site and we were lucky enough to get a pitch for the 5 nights we wanted (15 euro a night with ACSI card)
This site is a hidden gem (I am on site as I do this review and already planning our return!) The pitches are level and soft ground, we were asked if we had a big or little tent (orchy 500 with ext so we said big) We were put on a pitch plenty big enough and if I had one issue with this site it is purely that we were on a corner so everybody saw us from all angles! lol the site is peaceful (this may change in the school holidays) and the facilities are good. There are 6 showers I think but we have not had to queue and as it is so hot we are having up to 3 showers a day!
There is a shelter with washing lines which is great and there are washing machines (4 euros a load) there are driers but we hung it out.
Off site there are really quaint villages that are easy to bike to and cyclist and walkers alike are well catered for with their own paths.
For a small town there are lots of supermarkets including an aldi and in the town 4km up the road is a lidl
There is a train station in the town and according to eurocamp it is 10 euro return to frieburg (the black forest capital)
The site is a very quiet site so may not suit families with teenagers as there really isn't much for them to do. There is an outdoor pool complex next to the camp which I believe is around 2.50 euros per adult. Its quite a big pool area but NOT a waterpark.
There is a MacDonalds and burger king in the town and lots of bars and eateries but we do all our own cooking so have not tried them.
We are really enjoying the site and glad we decided not to pitch in the hills!
If you are looking for a site near frieburg (35km roughly) I would recommend it.
The owner is a very friendly man and speaks very good English he is very helpful and helped us out when we not sure about the name of schnapps!
All in all a lovely site with lovely weather :o)

To find site:- Leave A5 motorway at junction 58 and head towards Herbolzheim. At entrance to town at roundabout turn right following campsite signs. At next roundabout turn left. At T junction turn left towards Herbolzheim and on re-entering town turn right at Edeka supermarket still following campsite signs. In about 1km watch out for signs to swimming pool and turn left. Follow road past swimming pool to campsite.
This is a pleasant Black Forest campsite with a friendly and helpful owner. As the name suggests this campsite is terraced with an attractive ambience especially the shrubs and trees that form a colourful backdrop to the pitches. The higher sections of the site are taken up with permanent vans but the lower section, near reception is where all the touring pitches are. The pitches are of reasonable size but tend to the longer than they are wide which, if you have an awning, requires the car to be parked across the pitch. They are marked out by trees and usually allocated when you book in. Larger pitches are available at a small surcharge. Eurocamp has a presence at this site but most of their units are in a separate area. The site is closed between 13.00 and 15.00pm but there is plenty of parking near the entrance. The main reception building also houses the toilet block, which is to a good standard, although it has seatless toilets. Above the toilet block is a restaurant. Water points are situated at the ends of each row. Electric supply is 16 amp. The site accepts the ACSI Card in the low season which provides a useful discount on standard fees. Payment can be made by credit card. The site offers a very reasonably priced WiFi service. Being near to the main Rhine motorway it can be quite busy with overnight stays so it might be best to time you arrive by mid afternoon to be sure of a place.
The town of Herbolzheim is a reasonably short walk/cycle away from the campsite. There are several supermarkets to chose from including a Rewe if you require one that accepts credit cards. Europa Park, a well known children's theme park, is about 5kms away. The site is situated in the Black Forest approximately half way between Freiburg in the south and Baden Baden in the north so there are many opportunities for exploring the surrounding countryside. Just down from the campsite is a large outdoor swimming pool/lido.
