Great location for where we wanted to stay, and would have been ideal, unfortunately when I phoned to book for a stay in August 2015, I was told they no longer take bookings and the pub is closed for business. It sounded as though the man was surprised that we didn't know this. I don't know how long it has been closed. The website still shows it as open and still has details of the campsite on it.
Webmaster's note: If you know that this location has reopened in the future, please could you let us know. Many thanks

Excellent hosts, 16 amp ehu, water and toilet dump; yes toilets are in pub; nice paddock behind/side of pub, if too wet can use car park and hook up, but owner will give a gentle tow (like me) if paddock too wet; great old pub, beer kept correctly (v. Good pint)we stayed for new years eve, joined the locals in pub for party, and 5 other vans, great atmosphere/friendly, very nice-complimentary new year buffet, stayed 24 hours, on EHU, for £12. 50 including party and buffet. No they don't have a shower block, swimming pools etc. I must remind some people on here you get what you pay for, if you want the Hilton facilities, pack in camping, we were made very comfortable plus friendly genuine helpful hosts,
Would we go again; yes; A. S. A. P. Probably this month.

Cannot fault this little gem of a site, we visited about 3 weeks ago after a rally venue was cancelled due to flooding, so glad it was. Don't think we would have 'found' the Bluebell otherwise.
The owners are a lovely couple and nothing is too much trouble for them to ensure your stay is satisfactory. The site itself takes 5 caravans comfortably each with 16amp electrical hookup.
There is a water point and elsan disposal and the toilets in the pub are available during opening hours. The site is situated off the A41 but a paddock in front of the caravans where the owners horses graze cuts out any noise from the road.
The pub itself is worth a visit a lovely building with some fascinating history.
All in all a site we will definitely be revisiting in the future

Fantastic little site located behind the pub. Stayed for 2 mights & really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Good choice of food and drink available in pub. Landlord & Landlady very friendly, as were the locals. Plenty of hook-ups. Some minor noise from by-pass, but not at a level to cause annoyance. Plenty of walking & cycling lanes close by. Will definitely visit again.

We have just returned from 2 days at this site, it is small, holding just 4 units, there were no showers and the toilets are shared with the pub. If you like dogs, horses, sheep and cats this site is a must, the owners were very helpful without being intrusive, people were on this site to visit Malpas steam fair, We went into Whitchurch for shopping and visited Stretton watermill about 10 miles away, a few pints in the pub on Saturday night concluded our visit. The weather was probably the best of the summer for our trip, one downside though was the traffic noise from the bypass. Well worth a visit.

We visited this lovely site after a wet week in wales and we were on our way home. The site caters for 5 caravans with hook ups. Although only a small field you have plenty of room between caravans. The view was really nice from our window looking at the 2 horses and pet sheep. 2 lovely friendly dogs running about. This is a god send for dog loving folk. The bonus being able to take your own dogs into the pub to have a meal, the owners are really friendly and your made to feel really welcome. The food was really good too. Whitchurch is a nice town to walk around, and canal walks around the area are great. The lockside cafe ideal for a bit of lunch again dog friendly. This is a site we hope to visit again and again.

What a superb little site for you and your dog. We have just returned and had a fantastic weekend.
The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Meals basic but good value for money. A bit close to A41 as traffic never stops even on a bank holiday, however a well stocked bar and friendly locals ensured that we had a good nights sleep.
Plenty of good walking without using your car and another pub in walking distance although it was closed when we went, but was told it was okay. 15 minutes from site and you are on the canal and about half hour walk and there is a well stocked shell garage and another pub (reasonable meals although not particularly dog friendly). A bit further along what a gem- janes lockside cafe. Lovely location and good food, dog friendly and a great little shop. This can also be reached by road.
We walked along the canal into whitchurch, apparently takes about an hourish but took us nearer to two, however nice shops and a couple of good pubs, particularly the old eagles who again welcomed our dog. Taxi back to the site cost £7.
Back to the actual site - it was well maintained and clean- draw back no showers but we managed with a bowl and some hot water. Pub toilets are open early in the morning until about midnight and are also clean and plenty of loo roll and soap
You can take your dog in the pub and the pub also has two very friendly dogs.
All in all an excellent site which we will visit again, however not advised if you do not like dogs.
Unfortunately we cannot comment on local tourist attractions as we did not visit any

Site beside very old pub backing onto a field with horses & a pet sheep. Very picturesque & peaceful.
Basic facilities but only £10 p/n.
Staff friendly & helpful. Pub was OK but we didn't think the food was anything to write home about.
Tv reception was excellent, we could get all the Freeview Channels no problem which isn't always the case in this area.
Ideal for a stop over for 1 or 2 nights & handy for Whitchurch.

Just returned from spending the Bank holiday weekend at this wonderful little site ! The owners were lovely and the meals in the pub were fantastic and excellent value for money. At 10 pounds a night what more could anyone want we certainly will be going back, the surrounding area is beautiful as the pub is in the countryside and the walks are peaceful. There are no independent showering facilities but we were not put off by this as we had our own.
