This is a working farm and as such it has good points and bad points.

First the good points. The camping field is well away from any roads and so all you hear is the wildlife and farm sounds. The view must be one of the best in the area. The farm has a nice tea shop that also serves food. It's open till 5pm in the evening. The farm will chill ice packs for you.

Now the bad points. The field is half flat and then steeply drops away, so only half the field can be used for camping. The field is a working field and has sheep on it. Due to the sheep it's difficult to find a spot to erect your tent avoiding sheep droppings. The droppings are also a problem when its dark as there is so much about it's hard to miss walking into it. The toilet is a single portaloo in the corner of the field. The water supply is a hose outside the tea shop. There is no hot water.

So for your money you get a field, free cold water and the use of a portaloo, but at £3. 50 per adult and £1. 50 per child I thinks its OK for a 1 night stop over. I would not recommend the site for longer.

There are no pubs or shops within easy walking distance.
