This is a magical site, especially at sun set when its majesty is illuminated. The Fishing was a big hit, some of the local chaps have been coming for over twenty years, so the sport is good.
We came for one week & stayed for three, that's how comfortable we felt. We were made to feel so welcome by the site manager who couldn't do enough to help. The shower block was kept lovely & warm, great showers.
We will most definitely come again & again.

Wonderful little site, everything we wanted for a few days away. Well stocked lakes for hubby and lots of birds, insects, plants etc for me to photograph. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was to much trouble when I ask for anything. Toilets and showers were acceptable and the few suggestions I made for improvements were listened too and I am sure when we return in October there will be changes.
I think the owners had recently taken the site over and were in the process of upgrading things, but there was nothing that needed doing that interfered with making my holiday great.
Near to the bus stop so handy for Bungay and Beccles.
You do get a lot of noise from the main road during the daytime but I seemed to blank it out and it didn't affect my reading and relaxation time.
Cant wait to go back in October

Nursery fishing lakes and caravan site has been taken over by the previous owner Nigel Bale's nephew. I have owned the site since august 2015. From April 2016 there will be brand new toilet and shower facilities much closer to the caravans so no need to worry about walking a distance as before.
All pitches have electric hook up. Prices start from £12 per night and day fishing is available on site at £5 per day. The fishing lake has carp, tench, perch, rudd, roach and bream. We have about 15 pegs to choose from.
Ellingham is a small rural village just a few minutes drive to Bungay and a 5 to 10 minute drive to Beccles. Norwich is 25 minutes away and the coast is 30 minutes drive away.
We are not far from the broads with the nearest boat hire just 10 minutes drive away. This area is great for peaceful country walks and bike rides. There are two local pubs within a 10 minute walking distance.

The pitching area is an irregular L shape which is surrounded by a wide variety of trees and shrubbery. It also has a small fishing lake and an enclosure with three goats. As a result, it has a cozy feel, and I imagine that in the summer it will also feel distinctly Mediterranean. Worth noting is that large combinations might have difficulty manoeuvring, also that in periods of very wet weather, I guess that it might get waterlogged.
All pitches have EHU, and the w.c. is basic, but perfectly acceptable. However, it is slightly too far away to be called convenient - so I would suggest that own sanitation is a must. Please remember that it is a C.L., so having a w.c facility at all is a bonus.
Unfortunately, you are never entirely free of traffic noise from the nearby A143.
To help you find it, once you are on the (Old) Yarmouth Road, look for the entrance which says ‘F W Bale Florist’ and ‘Fishing’, this is it.
If you enjoy village pubs and are coming to the Bungay area, this site is a must as it is only ½ mile from ‘The Artichoke’. The Artichoke is a small, independent, truly professionally run, un-spoilt village pub. It serves about 6 British real ales, a similar number of draft Continental beers and a vast array of single malt whiskies. It also serves very good and reasonably priced meals.
A 5* eats and drinks pub that you can walk to from this site. Not to be missed!
