This site is truly fantastic, myself and my young family 4 and 6 stayed at this site (3rd time we have been) and were amazed again. The site is immaculate, everything was clean, neat and had modern facilities. The site is very spacious, our pitch (caravan and awning with power) was easily the largest pitch we had ever stayed on, this is a family run, owned and maintained site, leading to the very high standards they achieve. Farid and his family could not have been more welcoming and friendly to our children and us, they made us feel like part of their family, the pool area and bar are fantastic, toilets and laundry facilities immaculate and modern, it's location is superb, within a beautiful valley surrounded by national park, which includes prehistoric caves etc. It is only 3km from a very nice town (Le Bugue). The site is well laid out and very private and secure for the children. There are lots of things to do in the area for both children and adults alike, canoeing on the rivers, fishing, fantastic chateaux, historical sites, and great markets.
The biggest complement I could give Le Val De La Marquise, is when we left we booked immediately for 2 weeks again for next July. Please visit you will not regret.

Just returned from a week at this site. Person on reception didn't speak any English and we don't speak French but we still managed to communicate and he was very friendly. The pitch was a good size and after putting the windbreaker in front of the awning we had a good sized 'private space' which was ideal as we have a 2 year old.
Had a meal in the restaurant on the first night which was quite nice and quite reasonable. We sat outside and were able to keep an eye on our son who was playing in the lovely park. Didn't use the shower area much but when we did they were hot and clean. The pool was lovely and extremely clean, the small pool was shallow enough for us to allow our son to play on his own while we sat back and relaxed. There were a couple of staff on site who spoke a little bit English so we were easily able to communicate and they were all very friendly.
Left out of the site is a small town called La Bugse which had a few nice shops (bakers / butchers) and there was a supermarket which had everything we needed. Overall this was a lovely site but for us was spoilt by the week of rain and low temperatures (not usual for this part of France in July).
