Stayed two nights here and found the lady very friendly and helpful. Good value at £15. 50 per night. Toilets and shower could do with being a bit cleaner but the site itself was nicely laid out and lots of wild life. Seemed to be a lot of permanent vans on site and everyone seemed friendly. Would stay there again.

We pitched up here about 8pm with no booking and the man in charge could not have been friendlier. He pointed us in the direction of the closest pub (we had already been there asking for directions, it seemed really nice, be aware it doesn't do food though - we make our own), showed us the shower/ toilet block, water, hook-up and dog walking area. We had a lovely night, great neighbours including some folk that live here full-time. £13 for the night including hook-up, fabulous value. I didn't find a washing-up point, so have your kettle at the ready. Would definitely come back.

Have just got back from a two night stay at this cl, the owners were so friendly and helpful could not have wished for better.
The facilities were clean. They could use a bit of extra lighting to them at night, as my husband managed to spill a glass of pop over me and I needed a shower to wash it off.
We stay at a lot of these cls and cs sites and was slightly disappointed with the appearance of the site compared to others we've stayed at.
But as I said nothing was too much trouble for the owners we even had to chase them up to pay the site fees, this was £13 per night and we did think that was a bit steep for this site.

Have just spent a wonderful bank holiday in a perfect campsite. We were greeted and taken to the camping field which is just that - a field and a tap. The field next door contains alpaccas and the owners of this campsite have two peacocks which roam free. The owners cannot do enough for you and I tentatively asked if I could keep my tent up till 4pm to ensure it dries out, absolutely no problem.
Both the farm next door and the pub do free range eggs. There are half a dozen residential caravans, but all who I met were very polite and talkative. The owners have only recently taken over this site and are making improvements - If I could suggest any, it would be to add a couple of just toilets, so those who have left it too late in the mornings are not left dancing and jigging about whilst waiting for those who had the forethought to have a shower as well. Another must on the list of to do's needs to be either a wet pit for waste water or a sink for washing up.
All in all, the best premier natural hotel we have pitched in and will be returning in the October half term.

We have been here twice now, with a large tent, each time we have been welcomed, and shown where we have to go, we could choose where we pitched. The owners were friendly, helpful etc, even though its near the road, the gates are safe for children and the traffic noise is minimum. There is a bus stop very near, (outside the pub) and it is cheap to get into Hereford. The pub is friendly (1minute walk) from the campsite, and they sell huge eggs, and a good hearty roll or two, the ale is top notch, we will re-visit the site, thankyou!

Lovely CL site, the owners are very friendly and helpful. Only just started using these sites, so maybe I'm a little fussy.
The toilets were clean, but I did see a few corner spider webs. Would prefer the toilet / shower cubicle to be separated for womens and men, as they were used for both.
The chemical drop is awkward to lift as its flush to the floor, I did jam my finger between the floor and the lid (ouch). Also its right in front of the toilets, which I thought could be embarrassing if somebody walks by as your emptying.
There is a friendly pub just 2 minute walk away. Tried the fresh eggs, lovely. Yes, would use this site again.

This is one of the best CLs we had been to so far, we were greeted by the owner and taken to our pitch which was a h/stand area and shown the toilet and shower block which where spotless and hot water at the basins and ehu to the van. This site is situated about 5 mls from the Hereford city with its famous cathedral which keeps the old world map 'mapa-mundi',there is a pub close by 'The Cross Keys' ok for a drink but it does not do meals.
There is also a dog walk area, but did not find a play-area for kids, but there might have been.
The owner also guided us out onto a rather busy main road, which I was very grateful and hopefully we will go back.
Only criticisms we had, which where minor were, the showers could do with a soap shelf in them and the grey water and effluent point was a lift-up heavy steel cover with an unguarded hole, which I was assured would be done this year.

This is one of the hidden secrets of Herefordshire, a very small friendly and clean camp site, which reaches a very high standard. The owners Colin and Pam go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and are willing to help you in every way. There is a pub which is just a walk away from the site and it welcomes pets, and it is extremely friendly and has very good ale and beer and very reasonably priced. The pub also sells free range eggs and start at 80p for half a dozen and they are massive and we thought that an ostrich had laid them. There is a lovely country walk about 7 miles away with facilities to allow disabled people to use the place. There are a lot of walks within the area but too many to mention. There are also several national trusts in the area as well. The camp site is situated approx 4 miles outside Hereford, so if you do fancy a night out you don't have to worry to much about taxi fares, it has everything you need in a city and there are some lovely little villages around the camp site. So if you are looking for a base to have a good weekend, this is the site to look for.
