 This is an almost exclusively French site, though English is spoken at reception. Although reasonably priced, it was looking pretty shabby, particularly the older 'bloc sanitaire' in the centre of the lower site. This is an amalgam of 2 previously separate sites, and each part has retained its original name. I can't remember the name of ours but it was on the same side of the road as reception.
The Assomption public holiday (15th August) was on a Monday when we were there, and a lot of people were taking advantage of the long weekend. It was very noisy. Cars aren't allowed on site after 11 p. M. , so people were routinely parking up on one of the two roads that cross the site. Much banging of doors, loud conversations and climbing of fences.
We found most of our neighbours friendly, and got a lot of local info from them - I do speak French to a good standard, so have an advantage, but the French people who approached us did not know this. It's possible to cycle to the beach from the campsite, using forest paths and the amazing cycle paths alogside the main roads, though reception aren't aware of this. It is 5 miles, though, so you need to be keen!
Overall, an interesting, rather than relaxing experience. We won't be going back to the site, but really like the area, so will be trying a different site in 2012, just across the road.
