We're not particularly fans of Marseillan Plage itself, but like the cycling in the area and this site is one of the better ones (IMHO of course). Saying that, access to some of the pitches is quite tight, with trees and branches in awkward places making it more so. Pitches are not that big, but sufficient. For an additional €6 you can have a larger pitch. The site accepts ACSI. Reception doesn't appear to close during lunchtime, at least not in September, so no barrier to stop you arriving at any time during the day. There are 3 large toilet blocks and 1 very small one at the very bottom, which we noticed this year had been refurbished. Only a couple of toilets and showers, but it's a bit of a walk to the nearest larger block, so that's probably why it's there. No loo paper, but facilities clean, they are cleaned (and closed) in turn. Very close to the town, in fact it's actually in it. In September we didn't hear any noise in the evenings, but most shops etc were closed. I'd think that in high season it would be a different story though. A boulangerie opposite the entrance, which is very convenient. No pool, but direct access to the beach. Reception speaks English.

Not one of our favourite sites, but for what we want out of the area it fits the bill - the cycleride to Sete is lovely, we do it every time we're in this area. Also you can get to Agde. Mostly on cyclepaths, and of course to Marseillan harbour and town, again all on cyclepaths.

Just the site we were looking for - beside the beach, easy access in and out of the site and the pitch which was quite ample for our 7. 5 m vehicle. Loads of shops and restaurants just outside - like a mini Benidorm in some respects. Nice prom to walk along plus a beach nearly as good as the ones in Northumberland but with warm sea! Booked a table in the restaurant area overlooking the beach - very tasty and a wonderful location. Reception staff good, and for those who base the quality of a site on the sanitaires, spotless clean, plenty hot water and no nasty niffs. I gave a facilities score of 10 out of ten despite having no shop or pool - but the sea is 5 mins away and there's loads of shops & takeaways just outside - but what was provided was really good.

Having viewed the camp site on the internet, actually visiting was a disappointment. Where were the mature pitch hedges? The whole area looked untidy, yet was busy so must be popular. We could not see water or drainage on pitches, water stands are scattered. Having spent a lot of money on our Motorhome we expect the best. We did not see it here. It is not only at this camp site, we found a poor overall run down image on a lot of camp sites in this area. Why do the French continue to install the hole in the ground 'Squat' toilets, not even the French use them. We did not stay!
