 Access to the site is very good with its own set of traffic lights on the D80.
It is a large complex with chalets and pitches, the latter being up at the top of the site. They are reasonable in size but of varying flatness.
The sanitaires are good, enclosed and modern. ( They passed the MrsT approval test)
Near the sanitaires are the communal barbecue sites which seem unregulated as to what is burnt on them. On occasions the site was wreathed in acrid smoke.
There is a large swimming pool/bar restaurant area which was very well patronised by families ( We were there over a public holiday period)
The activity areas are generally very good indeed for children/adults of all ages, tennis courts, football areas, table tennis, boules, archery etc. Adjacent to the site is a very large equestrian centre which is every young girl's delight.
Walk or cycle into the village and have a taste of true Provence. The tabac/newsagent/cafe does the best moules a la creme you will ever taste for €11.
Up on the Massif of Sainte Baume is a commercial pilgrimage site for where they found Mary Magdalen's dentures or some thing. It is very popular.
Have a look at Plan d'Aups if you are up on the Massif.
In St Maximin there is are all the usual supermarkets and cheap fuel.
It takes Camping Cheques in off season.
If we had children we would probably return to this site
