I would endorse all that has already been said. We loved this site and one week turned into a month. The peace and quiet (but not in July and August we were told)were unforgettable. It was quiet by 22:00 virtually every night. The peace was broken only by a sex starved donkey, Scops owls, bullfrogs and nightingales with chaffinches raring to take over at day break. Beaches, coastal paths, mountain hikes are all within easy reach as well as a wealth of perched mediaeval villages.
There is a large fixed community of people who return year after year, mainly English and Dutch but with Swedes and Norwegians joining in. It was like the old days, no TV's, no pop music and no animations. It was just people sitting together for long relaxed meals and chats in the evenings.
The facilities were clean and well maintained. New small modern blocks have been added and they were stunningly good.
Pitches vary and so does the shade cover.
The site is on steep ground but there is a tractor service which we needed to use. You can pitch at the bottom for typical vineyard views or up at the top for mountains and skies. We simply loved this site and the welcoming and laid back Dutch owners have created something special.

I discovered this lovely campsite on-line and it ticked all the boxes for the family and me. Location, fridge hire, large swimming pool, on-site restaurant, shop and bar. The site nestles in a vineyard and sells its own produce from the bar and shop. After some initial e-mail communication with the owner I booked a two week stay in August and reserved a specific pitch capable of accommodating my Outwell Hartford XL. The site has approx 110 pitches of varying size but there are not many 'large' ones (100 M2+). The whole site is terraced with each pitch being level, all with hard surface so rock pegs are a must. Electricity on most pitches is standard 240v 10A (not reversed polarity) with normal universal push-in 'blue' connectors (not European 2-pin). Credit cards are taken and you can book using an on-line form or by phone.
We arrived early on Saturday lunchtime, in 34C heat and given an efficient, warm welcome by the proprietor. An initial, refundable 20 Euro deposit was paid for the barrier entrance card and my Camping Card International (CCI) was left as formal identification and assurance. Care, if you don't leave this card a passport may be kept instead.
There is plenty of shade across the entire site with many trees and bushes providing cover. As is normal in the SoF additional shade is required mid-day so a tarp or something is essential. We were directed to our pitch and the 5. 2 litre outdoor fridge was ready on the pitch. As we foolishly didn't take a European to UK adaptor the owner kindly lent us one attached to an extension lead. Being so warm we headed into Le Lavandou, 5 km away to collect groceries. There are at least 4 good supermarkets in the area all with similar prices. We commenced pitching the tent in the early evening but needed to take a swim-break half way through to cool down. The pool normally closes at 7. 30pm and re-opens on a Tuesday and Thursday for a 'midnight swim' during high-season. As with many French pools, Gentlemen must wear traditional trunks, and Bermuda shorts are strictly prohibited. There are no umbrellas around the pool and no shade until early evening. The application of suntan cream is also officially denied. There is a lifeguard on duty during all opening hours who sometimes strictly enforces the rules. Having said all that, the pool is large and a fantastic feature of the site, not because there are slides and 'fun' elements but because one can have a decent swim in one end while the kids play with the vertical water jet at the other end.
The smaller loo block was close-by which was both Male and Female and consisted of two toilets (ceramic bowls but no loo seats and you need to provide your own paper). Two washing-up sinks (no plugs), two free showers with plenty of hot water and two wash basins with shaver sockets. The facilities are cleaned twice a day and most guests rinse around and leave the place tidy. The main facility block a larger number of loos, sinks and basins. It would appear that there isn't enough facilities for the maximum number of campers, but we rarely had to queue for more than a few mins to use the shower or basins.
There are 12 typical Var beaches in the area which are a mixture of sand and light shingle, but be careful, parking in high-season is a total pain, street parking is available but some public car parks charge a hefty 8 Euros per day. The beaches vary in size but we found most of them small and very crowded.
In talking with a number of guests, we found that this site seems to depend mostly on repeat business and the number of 1st timers like us are few. The owner told me that the longest returning guest has been every season for 40 years, another since 1979 and two others who came as kids and are now returning with their own children, a true testimony to the successful formula achieved by this gem of a site.
Although totally packed for the 3rd week of August, the site emptied almost alarmingly during the 4th week when a significant number of caravans were hauled off site for storage. Apparently the 'silver camper brigade' invade in September from Holland, France and the UK, whom all seem to be acquainted.
Lunchtime and evening meals have a fairly limited choice but are well cooked, and reasonable value. The bar is well stocked with a darts board, table football and a few table-tennis tables are available. The no-noise rule after 11:30 is also maintained as we found out during a bit of a party with new found friends. Naughty, naughty. There are mainly families and couples on site, young single sex groups are a rarity.
We found the campsite to be a very relaxing place to visit, with plenty in the area to keep you occupied (if you wished) including a nearby zoo, marinas, beaches, old towns and of course the exotic St Tropez a short distance away (care, traffic and parking are a nightmare). Although we never return to the same place twice we would whole heartedly recommend this wonderful site.
