We've come back time and again and love it each time. Louise and Graham are such kind, thoughtful and welcoming people, and children Seb and Ella are fully involved, offering free lamb and chicken feeding every day, running a pop-up shop and sharing their farming knowledge.
Please don't be put off by any reviews about facilities there are some old photos on previous reviews - since COVID, they have added a beautiful new facilities block with 3 large wash up sinks with the best view you could ever want to look at - washing up was a real pleasure!
There are 6 large showers with limitless free hot water, 6 toilets and a massive family change/disabled toilet and shower room. All kept so clean and fresh. There are free freezers and fridges and a cool station to charge devices in secure locked boxes.
I really appreciated the big map of the area of outstanding natural beauty.
The field is big and mostly flat, with a simple fun swing/slide set for children. There's lots of space to pitch wherever you like and still have space for some games.
There are all the highlights you aim to find in Devon - stunning views, a host of lovely walks, easy access to nearby villages, towns and beaches. We love Mothecome beach but check opening times as it is privately owned but usually open.
The farm is constantly developing and 'Farmer Graham's farm tours' are so interesting - a real added extra for children and adults alike - plenty of information about the changes made to the farming over the years. There are many changes made to add to the biodiversity and sustainability of the farm.
Thank you Louise and Graham, we'll be back and maybe might even rent The Hideaway for our anniversary. This is the new shepherd's hut with log burner, hot tub and terrace. Total luxury for campers like us!

Quiet back to basics. Great views. Facilities are ok but not special.
There is a play park for kids and it is centrally placed to visit the great places of Devon.

Beautiful location.
Good facilities and 2 fridges and freezer available for use which was extremely useful.
Quiet location with a small park for children.
Plenty of open space for walking dogs.
Owner very helpful and leaves you to enjoy your stay.
Highly recommend.
Thanks.

I was delighted to find this good old-fashioned campsite which has everything you need - a great view of the sunset over Dartmoor, a well drained field, hot showers, clean toilets, washing up facilities, and a freezer - no radios, and no noisy campers. We were made very welcome by the owners. A good place to visit in August when everywhere else in Devon is packed.
My only criticisms are that one wash basin is insufficient, and that the shower drainage leaves a lot to be desired.
We stayed in fine weather and camped in the middle of the field for the best view, but the site is quite exposed to westerly weather.

We stayed here with our two children aged 3 and 5. When we arrived we had the field to ourselves which was quite a novelty, we were joined by other campers over the next few days.
Very clean toilet/shower, lovely hot shower. The toilet is across a little (very quiet) lane so obviously you have to keep an eye on the children but we hardly saw any vehicles on it so pretty safe.
There is also a big fridge freezer for campers to use which is great.
Lovely little play area near the facilities which the children loved but they mostly enjoyed running around the field and visiting the resident cows with Louise.
Fantastic views, close to lots of great days out for families, Paington zoo, aquarium and lots of lovely beaches.
We would definitely stay there again. Strongly recommend ordering the burgers and sausages from Graham and Lousie, delicious!
This is how all campsites should be.

What a little gem of a site. Very quiet and peaceful, virtually empty. The owners are very friendly and helpful - meat products are available from their farm. The toilet and shower(free) were spotless.
On our first evening we sat outside our tent, watching the sun set over Dartmoor, a hot air balloon drifted along in the distance, the wine flowed! Bliss.
The site is a little open if it is very windy, however there are high hedges to pitch by, though that would cut out the superb views.
There is a tiny play area, much appreciated by another family with young children
The nearest pub is at Avonwick (10 minutes)decent food, great beer. There is a huge Tescos on the A38 at Leemill(about 10 miles).
The site is ideally placed for exploring Dartmoor or going down to the coast around the South Hams. Superb coastal walks. Lots of picture postcard villages
