A lovely well kept site situated behind a nursery.
We hadn't noticed on the description that it has no showers or loos, but apart from that can't fault it.
It is a busy area and we found cycling on the main roads a little stressful, but OK off-road.

Spent 3 enjoyable nights here in May. Site is quite large grassy and flat, although they have converted 2 pitches to hard-standing, but we prefer grass anyway. All pitches are supplied with electric and water tap, but electric is on a prepay card basis - we only used £2. 70 for the whole stay.
Excellent location - short walk to good NISA local shop, but the nearby pub The Bell is now closed and up for sale. Good walks from the site to W Wittering, along the canal to Chichester, or around the harbour. Bus stop with good service is a few minutes walk.
The site is tacked on at the back of the Tawny Nurseries - not clearly signed as a campsite so we missed it the first time. Although they have 17 pitches (no toilet facilities), most of them were semi-permanently occupied by caravans, even though when we were there only about 3 other pitches were in use. This is a shame as the better pitches are all 'in use'. The other possible caveat is that a large field adjacent to the site is now being developed into housing. Thankfully we missed the pile driving period, but the building works might be annoying on weekdays. Not sure how the site will feel when overlooked by the new housing.

A nice friendly site. Pitches nice and flat. Owner & shop staff were friendly. Limited facilities which we were aware of before going but were self sufficient so didn't matter to us. Barrier system outside of shop hours which made the site very secure. Nice area for Bracklesham Bay windsurfing and Chichester harbour. Good pitch prices and at the time of our stay unlimited use of electricity. I understand that the owner has recently introduced some form of card system now for electricity use.

We stayed here during Goodwood Festival of Speed for 2 nights. The kids loved the wide open spaces to play in, and we loved the peace and quiet of the location. You do have to be prepared as this is true touring, and there are just the basics here, making this is an ideal site for 2-3 days. The quality of the grounds is very high.
The owner is friendly and very helpful and made us feel at home immediately.
Looking forward to our next stay next year.

Really enjoyed our stay here, it is set in the grounds of a garden centre and the owners house which is gorgeous! This site is very easy to access off the main road and is quiet considering how close it is.
It is within easy reach of local facilities such as lovely beaches and walks. The garden centre in no way negatively impacts on the site and in fact is a lovely place to wander round before you go home!
It has very limited facilities and would only really appeal to units that are happy to use their own toilet and shower. We would certainly go back again.

We found this to be a laid back site with a good atmosphere. Although there's no play area for children ours played and roamed freely, riding their bikes etc. The site is well worth the £14 a night we paid. Great for a stopover or 2/3 days away from it all.
The Bell pub up the road was overpriced for the quality of food but friendly. We wouldn't eat there again. There's a local shop 300 yards away up the road for all your conveniences and we'd eat in the van next time.
The owners of the site are friendly. We were made welcome.Would we go back. Yup!

After being told our 28 foot motorhome was to big on about 3/4 sites locally it was nice to be accepted on Tawney. Although the site has no toilet/showers it did not matter as the motorhome has. The site is alongside the nursery but you are not aware of it at all. Part of the site is a Caravan Club CL, otherwise it accepts 30 units. We were booked onto pitch no 2 which was huge, grass and flat and allowed to pitch how we wanted, no regimented straight rows of vans.
Having trouble with our satellite T V I asked if we could move to another pitch and was told to pitch on the R V section. There are 4 R V pitches each with there own water tap and waste water drain and hardstanding with grass alongside.
There is a barrier at the entrance, code operated which adds to a feeling of security.
The area is very flat which is great for cycling. We cycled from Chichester marina, about 1 mile from the site, off road to the Witterings and back on the Salterns Way. The bus stop is about 100 yards from the entrance, either go the scenic route around the Witterings to Chichester or direct in. Well worth a visit.
This site is very clean, quiet, the owners very helpful Well worth a visit and relaxing and we only paid £12.50 a night incl electric. What more could you want! Should you need anything for your motorhome Premier Motorhomes is about 1mile from the site with a large accessory shop and good advice on parts and problems and good prices.

We stayed for a ten day period over Easter and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The site does not have any toilet or shower facilities but that didn't phase us as our caravan is fully equipped with all the mod cons. The water pressure is a bit low so it takes a little longer to fill your water butt. Power source became a bit low when busy although I believe this is being upgraded. We had a lovely pitch, a great sun trap. The site is very peaceful and you are not bothered by wardens (unlike some caravan clubs - constantly cutting the grass etc). There is a lovely pub - The Bell just over the road, about a ten minute walk. They host a Jam night on a Wednesday - We stayed very, very late. The Bell provides a large range of food, it looked good but we didn't eat there. There is a local shop just near the roundabout but beware it is very expensive. We used a couple of the local farm shops - one in particular sells all sorts of things, including frozen danishes that you cook yourself - delicious. We have booked a return in the summer but hope to go back for the Whitsun period. A thoroughly enjoyable break, would recommend to anyone.
