We stayed in a 'standard' static, it was old and basic but was very clean and tidy and everything worked, that's all I ever ask. There was a picnic bench for each unit and a washing line including the pegs! Although these caravans are not front row, we had an amazing sea view. The televisions provided in standard caravans are only 12 inch portables and do not include a dvd player, so we took our own 19 inch combo tv, old eyesight! They also do not include a microwave, so we took our own as we thought £10 to hire one was a bit steep when we would only use it a couple of times.

The park is reached via a narrow country lane through woodland, simply stunning.

We used the pool, which was very clean, but please note that the depth is 3ft to 5ft so no very shallow end. Water temperature was just right.

The site is kept clean and tidy, although I do wish when site owners cut the grass that they pick up cuttings! Made the inside of the caravan cleaning a nightmare.

We didn't visit the bar, but it looked very cozy and was being well used. Same for the small games room.

The laundry had one washer and one dryer, but I didn't see an iron or board? It had a couple of little chairs on a veranda where you could sit and take in the beautiful views while waiting for your washing to finish.

The owners are friendly and willing to help in any way.

The walk to the beach was too much for me, so we drove to Kennack sands beach. Quick and easy enough if you are prepared to reverse a lot in the summer months as the lane is very narrow. Car park was £3 all day and there were two cafe's, each serving snacks and coffee, ice cream etc, and toilet facilities were up a slope behind the beach cafe. The beach could use a clean up, tons of seaweed and small rocks are spoiling what could be one of the most beautiful beaches in Cornwall, but that's nature for you!

There was no shop on the site, but there are small shops in local villages selling essentials, Mullion, The Lizard etc. Lovely fish and chip shop in Mullion.

All in all, we very much enjoyed our stay, and would return without hesitation.

A very pleasant small site close to Kennack Sands beach. We were 4 adults staying in a static caravan in late June to walk some of the coastal paths and re-explore sites we had been familiar with in childhood holidays. We would definitely return to this site.

Although it is neighboured closely by other campsites it's woodland location gives it a very peaceful air of seclusion. Each caravan in this small site (about 20 static caravans and a couple of cabins) looked like it had a view looking out over the sea, our caravan certainly did.

The caravan was clean and tidy. Everything worked and when we were short of one of the duvet covers that were provided the owners were very quick and pleasant in providing another.

We had no reason to use the toilet block or the laundry so cannot comment on these facilities but we did use the indoor swimming pool and that was great. The water and the tiles were clean and fresh. Because we went before the school holidays the pool was not busy but the young family that were using it had been coming back to this park for a number of years, which probably speaks volumes.

As I was planning on coming back to this park with my young children later in the year I made particular note of the children's facilities. The playground was quite small and had, I think, seen better days, but there was a see-saw and a swing. It's location tucked behind the swimming pool meant that you would not really be able to see your children except if you were in the playground as well.

The walk to the beach is either 10 minutes along a footpath through a wooded valley which leads to the dunes at the back of the beach or 15 mins along another footpath down the playing field, up through a horse paddock and down the road to the beach. Whilst we were there both paths were a little bit muddy due to the preceding rainfall and a little overgrown. Alternatively if you felt the need to it would be possible to drive but this would probably be more trouble than it is worth in the high season as the roads are incredibly narrow. The geography of the valley means that the road route is a bit convoluted and the final stretch down to the beach gets very congested with traffic trying to negotiate the steep and narrow lanes.

The shop was a small kiosk opening for a couple of hours each morning, selling the basics. Papers could be ordered and the shop staff were very friendly and helpful.

There was a small and friendly bar on site with a warm lively atmosphere that bellied the size of the park. The beer was nice - local bottled ales, lagers on tap as well as draught local cider. A separate adjoining room housed a pool table and other games.

All in all I would recommend this site to family and friends. It is what you would want from a small family run site.
