There's nothing to dislike, perfect location, tor our first experience, excellent facilities, peaceful,
My 3 dog's absolutely loved it,
We had family down, 18 in total for the day, all in all, a really nice day,
Can't wait to go bk, it's local, and very pleasant and nice and welcoming owners,
Loved it, only gave 9 out of 10 for site facilities, because, they haven't a shop, but there's plenty close by, chippy, Italian restaurant, pizza, 😁,
Other than that, EXCELLENT, and we stayed an extra 2 days,

We loved the warm relaxed welcome and facilities were clean
And the site was quiet except for M62 motorway noise which is to be expected.
Convenient spot to use as a base when touring.

Loved the location- so close to the motorway junction but within a small farm site with beautifully cut lawns.
No shower or toilet (we have our own anyway) due to covid- but that wasn’t a problem.
Nice warm welcome from the owner, her son and the grandchildren who were playing in their garden
Can’t rate for children as we don’t have young ones any more- but with a big uncut field- lots of play area for children that is enclosed
Only for one night because of work- but will stay here again

I`m afraid I can`t report much in favour of this place.
We stayed here as it was useful as a stop over, being very close to the M62. We arrived mid afternoon on Boxing day but there was no-one there to meet us so we found our own spot. The shower block was locked but we assumed we would get the code when we met the owners the next day. The next day we were informed that the shower block had been shut up and 'winterised', a very small toilet was available which was attached to the house. If this tiny, cold toilet was the only toilet for the site that would be poor (we couldn`t see what was in the shower block).
The next day the one water tap that was previously available for drinking water was frozen solid, the weather overnight hadn`t been particularly cold but there had been no effort made to lag the pipe which supplied this tap. Not very good for a site which is advertised as open all year.
This was all for the full price of £15 per night.
The only things in favour of this site is it`s convenient as a stopover being very close to the M62 and the electric is included in the price.

Hard standing area with caravans parked in different directions. Motorway traffic noise was constant, but at this time of year unobtrusive. Stayed here to see Peter Kay at Manchester Arena. No one to report to on arrival day, but a warm welcome the next day. Pitched up with no problems and had a good stay. Shower was not working while we were there, but would be working for the new season. Departure day was a bit of a pantomime due to the way cars park in the access road, although residents were quite happy to move cars once they saw a 40 foot car and caravan outfit trying to drive past their pride and joys.

What a lovely little CS. Nice easy access, hard standing & grass available, level ground, modern EHU. Water with hose to fill up onboard tank, washing up sink, toilet disposal.
Owner very friendly & helpful. 1 shower and 1 toilet. Toilet could do with updating, but still great value at £12. 50p/n.
Even had free wi-fi! Co-Op within walking distance, and Morrisons 1. 5 miles away. TV reception was fine, even with small indoor aerial.
Nicely located for Manchester, Bury, Bolton. Will definitely be using again.

Stayed at this CL as my wife and mother in law went to see Take That at the City Of Manchester stadium, and the site definitely served its purpose.
2 mins just off the M62, which was ideally situated, there was 1 shower which was in a large cubicle and constant hot water, and 1 toilet, which could have done with a bit of updating, but at £12.50 per night with electric, what more could you ask for.
You have a selection of shops, supermarkets, take aways and pubs all with easy walking / driving distance.
And Janet the owner was very friendly and made you feel welcome.

Better late than never, as this site deserves a review. It's very easy to find (near the M62), has good access, is handy for Manchester and Bury and near the countryside as well. Has hardstandings and ehu, and a loo, £9 per night (might be more now), very reasonable I thought. The main business appears to be riding stables, lots of small girls and cute little ponies, and easy going owners. Not the prettiest site but perfectly ok for a night or two.
