We had a pleasant welcome from a friendly and helpful lady at the reception and were allowed to choose our own pitch. You can order bread for next day. The hedged pitches are medium sized with trees, but the sandy surface was not free draining so some were very wet.
There are plenty of water points and waste bins but some pitches would need long electricity leads. The toilet block was nice and clean with seats and paper but no soap or dryers. There are good but rather expensive washers and a tumble dryer. The motorhome service point is not at all adequate, there's no drive-over drain and the chemical toilet emptying has no water tap so people use the fresh water tap to rinse their cassettes.
All in all though, it's an attractive and relaxed site and very handy for exploring Évora with a bus stop at the gate if you don't fancy the walk into town. It's very reasonably priced, we paid €17. 25 a night including electricity.

We were very dubious coming here after reading reviews, but were delighted.
We will have stayed a week, excellent pitches with hedges, trees but not taking the sun away, excellent shower block, hot water, locks on doors, hooks and shelf for clothes, loo paper, loo seats, washing up area and washing machines, water, elec and rubbish are all within distance, map and bus timetable provided by excellent reception staff, bread if wanted. Bus stops outside, also walking cycling path to follow to city centre. Half hrs walk. 10 mins walk to exc supermkt, and shopping mall on industrial area 40 mins walk.
Lovely site

This is a pleasant site with helpful staff. Pitches are on the small side. Good old-fashioned washrooms are kept very clean with hot water to taps, showers and washing up. There is a big supermarket 10 minutes walk away. A 20 minute walk alongside the road on pavement / cycle path takes you to Évora city walls with lots of historic sites to explore and plenty of cafés, good restaurants and interesting shops.
A promising dog walk on rough ground down the road from the campsite turned out to be shooting range so we walked the dog around the site (there are a couple of places in corners away from pitches where he could safely come off the lead) and for longer walks he had to make do with sightseeing in town with us!

As previously mentioned this site is one of the Orbitour chain. It is well placed for visiting Evora. We only had an overnight stop there on our way to Fatima. We will be back there sometime to visit Evora it looks very interesting.
The site is a little shabby the shower and toilet blocks are OK but could be cleaner. No hot water for washing dishes. The pitches are badly warn but overall we would go again because of its convenient location.

We used this site for an overnight stop en-route to the ferry port at Bilbao, On arrival the receptionist was very pleasant but I Immediately noticed the building was a bit shabby and thought what's the rest of the site like and I was not wrong the pitches were overgrown and uneven, the electric point's were so far away that we had to run the cable across one of the access roads, and the toilets were disgusting with no seats or toilet paper provided and had not been cleaned that day as for the shower's they were also grubby.
In fact I cant find much good to say about this site apart from the Wi-Fi was free and worked OK.
Pity because Evora has a lot to see and do and is an attractive Town but I doubt if I would ever use this site again. This site is part of the Orbitur Group of sites and to be honest I have visited a few and have not found any of them that good but there cheap and will suit some people.

This site is a member of the large Portuguese Orbitur group. Their campsites are generally good but not quite up to the standards of Spanish campsites - for example, the toilets, though clean, have no seats and paper is not supplied. It's a medium-sized site with, unusually, no statics. The hedge-marked pitches are not very large so we chose to stay on a large open grassy area near the toilet block and tennis court. Reception staff were friendly and security was good. As it was low season the pool and snackbar were closed, but there was a small 'sala do convivio' for free wifi use. The washing machines and driers were very efficient and cost 4 euros. However the hand-washing laundry sinks had no hot water, nor did some of the washing-up sinks. There was no shop on site but 2 large supermarkets a 5 minute drive away. Evora is a very interesting city but many streets are cobbled so wear sensible shoes! The 'bone chapel' in the church of St Francis is wonderfully macabre. There are many dolmens in the surrounding countryside, the most impressive being Almendres. However the weather in April was still rather cool and unsettled so it might be better to go in summer.

In the Alantejo region, Evora and its surroundings are part of a World Heritage Site with monuments from the Bronze Age through Romans, Arabs and the first kings of Portugal - so well worth a few days.
The site is within walking distance of the city although that's a dusty trek along a main road but there are regular buses and taxi fares aren't too bad if you stay out too late! So it is a good place to stay for a bit of touring.
Not entirely perfect though. The camp shop and bar (advertised as a restaurant but not) were of minimal use and, when we arrived, I'm told, the womens toilets were in a terrible state. We were told this was because the cleaner had failed to turn up and for the rest of our stay we had no complaints.
A lot of school groups stay on the site and these were extremely well-behaved and quiet in the night. The same cannot be said of dogs: I had seriously bad nights of sleep loss due to howling dogs - some in neighbouring houses but some on the site. There seemed to be no attempt to quieten them.
Plenty of restaurants (some over the road from the camp, plenty more in Evora itself). Plenty of shops in the city for things (memory cards and other photographic things come to mind) that are not found in most towns.
Final caution: before starting to set up your tent, check your pitch - much of the site is on granite with very little soil .
