Superb experience staying at this campsite with friends. Clean facilities and well organised.
Kevin, the owner made everybody welcome and was always happy to help. He does a great job looking after the field and facilities.
The area around the campsite is very peaceful and there are some worthwhile walks along the coast.
We would definitely stay here again.

Nice flat field, 6 hook ups, water and cdp just off field towards the house, toilets (didn't use as use our own) there as well, no shower at moment but is a work in progress.
The nearest beach Porth Iago is only accessible through a farm and is a toll road even for pedestrians (£1 ).
One mile from Porthor (also known as Whispering Sands) which is absolutely stunning, also about 4 miles from Aberdaron also great beach.

We loved this campsite. Kevin the owner was very friendly and helpful. He managed to fit us in on the bank holiday and replied to my last minute emails promptly. It is very reasonably priced and good value.
The site is one field and has basic facilities. Two toilets and a shower that was warm and adequate (rustic). There are a few caravans and tents of people that return every year and a friendly community feel.
Can use a fridge/freezer and Kevin even offered us some wood for a campfire. We liked that it wasn't a strict site and you were free to relax.
The location is superb, approx 15 min walk to a lovely small beach (was busy when we went) and lots of coastal walks and other beaches very close by. Would recommend bringing what you need as there isn't a shop close by.
We also drove to Abersoch which was only about half an hour away. Beautiful views of the sea and can watch the sunset. Also fantastic starry skies at night with the little amount of light polution.
Really enjoyed our stay here and I would love to go back. Only improvement would be if the toilets and shower were updated.

I stayed at Cae Hic for the first week of the school holidays, myself and my two kids (7 and 10).
Firstly, I should mention that this is a caravan and camping club registered site, so don't expect to turn up and get a swimming pool, shop, entertainment etc. As with all caravan and camping club sites its a basic site with two toilets and a shower. No hot running water (other than the shower) and you'll need to do washing up etc. At your pitch.
We had an electric hook up for the duration of our stay which worked really well (for my electric cool box).
That said, the site is amazingly positioned down a very quiet lane within a mile of Porth Iago and a five minute drive from the more popular Whistling Sands.
During our stay (first week of the school holidays as I said), then there were a maximum of three other tents/ caravans on the site at any one stage.
It's incredibly quiet, (no traffic noise) with wonderful views, plenty of fire pots etc. And very easy access to amazing walks/ bike rides etc.
If you are looking for an undisturbed, peaceful site that gives you direct access to the natural parts of the Llyn Peninsula then you couldn't pick a better spot.
Kev the owner is amazing and provides refrigerators and a washing machine if you need it within his barns. He's a really friendly guy that gave us some great tips in terms of local stores etc. To shop at (there aren't that many) meaning that we didn't have to venture back into Pwllheli at all during our weeks stay.
I've given it 10/10 for child friendliness and if your children enjoy running around non stop outside, playing hide and seek, ball games etc. Then it's perfect. If they need entertainment such as playgrounds etc. Then it isn't. A fantastic spot for them to explore the outdoors and nature.
It's an idyllic spot with some amazing beaches nearby and we'll definitely be back.
Thanks very much Kev we had a fantastic stay.

Just back from a great break at Cae Hic. It's a great place to get away from it all with lovely scenery, and a great beach within walking distance.
We were a party of 6 and the owner Kevin couldn't have been more helpful, even giving us some spare wood to get a fire going. There was also use of a freezer to keep the beers chilled. It's not one of those campsites with lots of rules and signs everywhere - it's a well kept field in a quiet location, great for relaxing.
The only slight downside is that there's just one shower and two toilets - but although basic they were clean, and it's not a huge site so there were never any queues.
There's not a huge amount nearby, but you will find a butcher and basic supermarket within a 10 minute drive. Abersoch is just over half an hour away and worth a trip. And of course there are lots of beaches and walks all around.
If you're looking for a relaxing break in lovely surroundings (with a fantastic view of the sunset over the sea) then Cae Hic is a great choice.

Just come back after spending 3nights at Cae Hic campsite.
Had a fabulous time, the views are to die for. It feels like your on a ship, there are seaviews everywhere.
We took our 5year old boy & he loved it.
Lots of lovely beaches nearby porth iago & porth oer to name but two. Not far away is Abersoch if you require a bit more life, my preference was the chill factor.
Ray the owner is a fountain of knowledge & made us most welcome. We shall be going back

Spent a lovely hot weekend at this campsite. The camping field was clean, flat and spacious with plenty of space for the kids to play. Facilities are a little basic but adequate and the owners are very friendly and helpful. Wonderful sunsets and lots of lovely beaches nearby. Porthoer was our favourite and suited our 3 kids (all under 7) as it had toilets, cafe, shop etc. Suggest you take most of what you need as there is limited shopping nearby, we forgot to take beers and other than the pub at Aberdaron couldn't find any on sale. But this was a small blight on an otherwise lovely weekend.

Most definitely the best camp site we have visited on the Welsh coast to date. The views are fantastic, and if your lucky enough to be there (like us) on a clear evening the sunset is to die for.
The owner (Ray) can only be described as a character. Upon our arrival we were given a can of cold beer each to get over the journey. Toilets are always clean, and they have 2 washing machines a fridge and freezer to use if you wish. Electric hook ups are available to use if you wish.
Theres a private beach 500 yards down the road for a small £2 per car charge or 50p if you walk.
Aberdaren is 7 miles away with shops and bar food, with Abersoch 10 miles away for even more.
Would I go back? I didn't want to leave and I shall be visiting again.

My husband, myself and our three children aged 5, 12 and 14 had a wonderful week at this quiet little site. It is situated within walking distance of port Iago beach, and around a mile away from Port Oer national trust beach. Both these beaches are stunning, port oer is particularly good for families, having a small shop / cafe and toilets. The site itself consists of a large level field, with loads of room for the children to play ball games etc, even at spring bank holiday. There are two toilets and one shower, but as the site was so quiet we never had to wait.
The site owner Ray is a real character and made us feel really welcome, he has lots of people who come back year after year.
If you are after luxury facilities this site is not for you, but if you want to experience the outdoor life in beautiful countryside beside a stunning coastline visit Cae Hic.
