Just returned from this site after spending 14 nights camping (2 Adults, 3 Kids 6, 9 & 11 and our Springer spaniel). We arrived at 10am in the morning after driving through the night from Caen. We found reception very helpful when checking in and we were guided to our pitch. Our rented fridge arrived 20 minutes later which was the most important thing we arranged as the weather was well in the 90's. Our pitch was fantastic, very spacious, absolutely no complaints. The site is vast, the unisex facilities were cleaned 3 times a day, the on site supermarket was useful and reasonable. Plenty of places to enjoy a drink or snack. The walks for the dog were brilliant and he loved swimming in the lake every day. Kids clubs were well used as it gave us some peace, ha ha! We bought wristbands which allowed the kids to enjoy the bouncy castles and loads more by the lake (sumo wrestling was their favourite). The pedalos and kayaks were well used and the main pool area was fantastic with the slides very popular. Evening entertainment was alright with a mini disco every night except Saturdays (same music in the same order so it got boring for the kids). The highlight was the foam party which the kids loved. Now for the downside! The entertainment was mainly aimed at the kids. There wasn't a lot for the adults to get involved with. It did rain, yes rain, a few days and it seemed there wasn't anywhere to go as most of the areas were outdoors.
Not a lot in the surrounding area of the campsite. Made it into Lectoure a few times including a visit to the vet for the dogs return worming injection and we did manage to visit a nice chateau in Saint Puy and sampled their wines.
Overall a great site, very relaxing, good for kids but was it worth the very long journey? The jury is out!

We stayed for 10 days here in peak season, 2 adults and 4 children (7, 9 and two 13 year old boys) and also my daughter aged 16 with 5 friends on a separate pitch with a tent. We chose this site as it seemed to have a lot to so for all different ages and we weren't disappointed. There are various children's' clubs running for morning and afternoon sessions, which they all enjoyed and took part in for the bits they were interested in. Games and activities were properly supervised and one day a week they also cover lunch which meant I had a day out with husband and older children, a real treat on holiday. The pool was beautifully positioned with lovely views over surrounding hills. One pool wasn't heated and was too cold to swim in but the other was fine. Great depth for all and slides had separate deeper pool. Great slides for younger children and our teenagers however it gets very crowded on hot days in peak season (where doesn't. ). Lots of classes for adults too so take gym kit and trainers. The evening entertainment was surprisingly good and they had a well organised timetable. The meant a disco for the younger ones first then various shows after which appealed to the whole family - a very difficult thing to do. Most of it was singing, dancing and mime (to cope with different languages). We used the pedaloes and canoes at least daily and staff were very helpful getting people in and out and kitting them out with lifejackets etc. The lake was lovely but I guess it depends on the amount of rain there is over the whole season as to how deep it gets but it was fine for us. Probably smaller than we thought from pictures but it was still fine for us. We never made it to the fishing lake. The older girls said there was a club that stayed open until 3pm but this was all indoors and we couldn't hear it from our pitch so never found it where it was. They enjoyed it though and went most nights. The foam party was however their highlight :)
Shop was excellent and as we already had some items in the caravan really we didn't need to keep shopping off site. There was a nice fruit and veg stall (all from their own garden) just down the road for fantastically fresh and cheap fruit and veg.
Showers were always hot and clean although some blocks are older than others so the standard varies a little but all still good. Staff were very helpful - even stopping in their buggy to help us hitch up our caravan.
Our pitch was great in size and hedged so good on that score too.
Lectoure is a very pretty town on the top of a hill with a good market once a week and we walked to the top of the church tower. Tried a few restaurants which were also good and featured duck and melon which Lectoure grows in abundance. There was a melon festival on when we were there so the town was alive with music etc.
I am not sure there was much more to do in the area than we did - some of the other towns were very ordinary but for 10 days with kids on campsite fully engaged we didn't need it, although I was starting to need to get out and do other things by the time we were leaving.

This site is part of the Yelloh! group and I think the equivalent to Haven, Pontins etc.
It is located in very stunning scenery and is remote. The nearest town is Lectours and walking to the town is not for the fainthearted. A car is - in my opinion essential. We watched a stunning sunset set over the french countryside at the top of the campsite and stargazed and it was beautiful.
Pitch - We were given a pitch at the bottom of the hill next to the toilets. This wasn't a problem in itself but it could get quite noisy with people getting ready to go to the entertainment. The pitches themselves were spacious. We had hookup and again this was fine. The problem was as this was a dog friendly site - a lot of owners seem to let there dogs roam freely and mess where they wanted. A few afternoons we would come back to find presents on our pitch. One trip to the reception sorted this problem! I have no problem with dogs coming on holiday with their owners but maybe having an option to stay in a dog free area would help.
On Site - The pool is fantastic. Slides to keep the kids entertained. A water rapid. A quieter pool to swim in. It did get very busy from 12 onward and sunbeds were gone with 10 mins of the pool opening - saved by towels! Swimming shorts were allowed to be worn - some did wear budgie smugglers though! The shop was adequate but expensive as was the restaurant. You could rent pedalos to use on the lake. There was a wristband you could buy to allow you to use some extra facilities such as the inflatable kingdom but we didn't do this. Cant comment on the evening entertainment but judging by the merry french coming back to their tents at 3 am they enjoyed it.
Overall - this is a lovely campsite set in a stunning area. Facilities are adequate but what lets this site down is the distance from anywhere else.

This site is located between Lectours and Fleurance in the Gers department it is part of the Yelloh Village Group,I visited this site in August 2010 my famliy consists of of Mum, Dad and kids a boy aged 8 and a girl aged 6.
Location: The site is easy to find and is located in the picturesque Gers countryside it is a 3-4 mile drive away from the nearest town, Lectours, this town offers all the amenities of a small French town including a small supermarket and a market on market days. I found that the site was too far away from a town or village with a patisserie etc. This meant that you were pretty much tied to buying bread croissants etc from the site shop which was on average 25% more expensive than the same shop in town,(unless you are willing to use the car every day) drinks at the bar were also very expensive again with no real alternative nearby. The area immediately surrounding the site was farmland with some nice walks, the site shop sells appropriate o.S. Type maps of the area. Slightly further afield toward Condom and Fleurance were many local vinyards offering degustation. The area is very picturesque with some very fine local produce available from farm shops.
The site has a variety of facilities available for entertainment, there are tennis courts, a fantastic swimming pool, table tennis tables, minigolf and a small lake with slides and canoe/pedalo rental. Whilst we were there the lake seemed to be producing a large amount of algae, this was quite unpleasant and although we tried the slides (which were great fun) we were put off by the smell and visual effect of the clumps of dirty green algae which stained our swimming cossies. The minigolf was good fun and much enjoyed by both kids. In keeping with Yelloh villages there was a great kids disco followed by some imaginative family entertainment, there is then a disco which carries on until 3am, more about this later.
The site appears to give a lot of space to mobile home type accommodation and pre eqiuipped tents, our tent pitch was between these units, the pitch itself was one with water and electric hook up the ground was grassed and easy to peg into, car parking is on the pitch.
Value for money: The site offered generally good facilities for a cost similar to other sites in the region.
Customer Service: When we arrived we were allocated a pitch which was too small for our tent the staff who spoke excellent english worked very quickly and without fuss to find us an alternative pitch, this was the only real interaction we had with the staff but it was effective and efficient.
Child Friendliness: there are many child friendly activities there are good safe children's areas in both the pool and the lake. The children's disco was enjoyed by our kids and the entertainment staff did a great job in getting all the kids onto the dance floor with enjoyable routine.
Overall rating: Overall this was a nice site with some lovley features the only things which let it down were, the distance from the nearest town and the fact that we were woken every night by people returning from the disco at 3am.
