This is an absolutely gem of a site set in stunning countryside.

A very well kept site, brand new toilet facilities, dishwashing, weekend camp kitchen, pond/lake for fishing.

Many walks very near, Saxon Shore Way and Royal Military Canal, also flat quiet lanes for a good cycle ride.

A 12th century village church is a 2 minute walk away and worth a visit as it's never closed.

My only comment got a bit wet & windy whilst washing up, be nice to be more enclosed, and the leave time is 11. 00 am.

Will definitely return as only 25 miles away! Aren't we lucky!

Brilliantly priced quiet location. Perfect for exploring Hastings and West Kent.

Very friendly and helpful owners- they even went out of their way to tow us (very green motorhome users) out of the mud!

Toilets and shower are basic but clean and lots of hot water and excellent shower pressure.

Found this site by chance, not very far away from home but once inside you could be anywhere. Very peaceful, lots of space and so relaxing.

The lady spoke at length to us and nothing was too much trouble. You could stay on as long as it wasn't busy and family and friends visited without all those extra charges and rules.

Would highly recommend this for a quiet getaway. Loved it. Toilets are a little primitive but they do what's on the tin. Nice little park and pond with fish and a frog chorus.

Good old fashion camping. Lovely hosts.

Beautiful site and very peaceful. There were two toilets with wash hand basins and a shower room with toilet and wash hand basin. These were reasonably clean most of the time.

There was plenty of hot water and also a very useful washing up area.

The owners were very helpful on arrival and loaned us chicks to level the caravan. After that they were available but not intrusive which suited us well.

The camping field is in a most idyllic spot and we will certainly return.

I've been here a few times and love it. Each year I fear the owners have sold up and retired but they're still there.

Lo-fi, relaxing spot - small field in front of owners farm house, but not directly. Sheep in the fields alongside, a pond of sorts, a trampoline that can take kids and adults(yeah!)

The ablutions are fine - clean. Single shower, ladies and gents cubicles with basins in. Good hot water.

The owners are friendly and helpful.

I've been there with a new baby and with a toddler - great space for kids as it's quiet and off the beaten track. There's a steam train for kiddies in the area, great fun!

I've also camped in our bell-tent with woodburning stove in, at the back bit behind the pond.

It's less than an hours drive to Dungeness or other towns on that coast. Easy walks along the old military canal. Love it.

We visited this weekend and found that this is clearly a very busy site with a mix of both tents and caravan pitches. It could be tricky to find if as the signs are vague to the site itself so don't rely on your sat nav to get you there.

The site itself was sloping in part although more flat towards the far side of the field with an old dis-used pond.

The shower/toilets were simply what appeared to be an old terrapin style structure with a male and female toilet and shower. At night you could clearly see anyone using the facilities as the windows were white washed out! Not exactly private and couple together with the gap under the doors (if you get my drift).

Although basic we felt with that with the amount of families and owners family visiting on site the amount of toilets to people were woefully inadequate and were in constant use even in the early hours. In the shower/toilet block was a small fridge. The toilets were clean when we arrived and had plenty of toilet rolls etc., however, as the pitches filled the toilets soon became messy.

The owner was friendly, helpful but at times somewhat overbearing almost to the point that you felt 'watched' at every move. The traffic on site was not particularly helpful and for young families you would need to watch the cars coming and going.

Dogs welcome a bonus.
