This site is a little gem if all you want is peace and quiet. Lovely relaxed feeling. Had a wonderful weeks stay. When using sat nav to find it you need to put in Moor Lane instead of Birkland Lane (roads are close together). Make sure you have plenty of petrol/diesel as nearest petrol station about 5 miles away. Will return again

We have visited this site several times now and find it a great place to relax. True there is nothing there but that is the beauty of it, peace and quiet and a pleasant place to stay. The shower is nice and warm in the winter if you don't want to use the one in your van which we never do! There are some nice walks in the area and it's not far from Lincoln and Newark for those who are visiting from further afield who might want to do some shopping. For us it's a highly rated site and one which I think we will return to time and time again. It is a little hard to find, especially if you rely too heavily on your satnav but Mr and Mrs Coupland are only too willing to give you good directions and they leave you alone when you are there. This is what we have a caravan for, an ideal place to get away form the world without being too far away!

Dont follow your sat nav if you are coming here as ours and our friends took us all on a merry dance!
Nice field with basic toilets and showers but EHU
Near both Lincoln and Newark
We were charged £10 a night
Didnt really go out and about much but went to Torksey Caravans which was a out 7 miles away
We went Friday to Sunday and the biggest problem and the reason I wouldn't go again was the loud music that played from 9pm until 5. 30am on the Friday and again from 9pm until 3. 30am on the Saturday.
We spoke to the owner on Sunday when he came for the site fees but he couldn't understand where it had been coming from as he hadnt heard it in the house
It spoilt an otherwise lovely relaxing weekend and I probably wouldn't visit this sight again because of this

Needed somewhere to stay just for one night as hubby was playing Hockey nearby. We gave Wildwood a call and found we were the only ones there!
The owners are away on holiday so a friend is looking after the house / site, and very helpful he was too. We are new to motorhoming and just finding our way, ie, what exactly do we pack in such a small vehicle?!?! After telling him we had no heating, he drove over and brought us an oil heater to plug in, what a gem. It was such a delight to wake up warm !
The site is substantial in size, with loads of chattering birds, and even saw a deer across the site.
There is a basic toilet block, but at least there is warm water.
We didn't get to see anywhere as we pulled in when dark, had tea then bed !
Great stop over place.

This Cl is a large meadow with some hardstanding backing on to a stand of pinewood. Rabbits everywhere , loads of birds - the dawn chorus is amazing ! Several different types of owl calling of a night.
The facilities are adequate with 1 male and 1 female toilet , shower room (fan heater a nice touch) , hot and cold water , shaving points , water point , chemical disposal , and EHU (bring long leads as all the hookup points are on the toilet block wall) .
The owners are very laid back (we only saw them once over the weekend) as is the site , which is situated about a mile from the A46. Lincoln is only 9 miles away ,Grantham and Newark are also nearby . Course fishing (river Trent and several lakes) within a couple of miles . The nearest pub is about a mile away as is the nearest restaurant .
We had a great weekend at Wildwood and would certainly recommend it to others . We will be back this year!
