A very large well run campsite with shop as the nearest shops are 10km away. Pleasant restaurant and what seems to be a lovely children’s play area.
The site is located in a quiet valley next to a river with a lovely walk along its embankment (which ran the whole length of the site) and a main line railway (hardly noticed it).
The services are very well provided for and the amenities were superb, cleaning was carried out at 6:30 and throughout the day. The site has 300 pitches not all touring!
It is about 30 min off the main Brussels to Luxemburg motorway E411. The Grotte de Han is well worth a visit, pricey but you do get your monies worth.

On the face of it, this would not normally be our type of site, being quite large but I would say that we were very impressed during our brief stay. We chose it as an overnight on the way back to Calais as a result of the reviews on the ACSI site and were pleased that we did.
On arrival the reception staff were very helpful, and instructed us to wander round and find a pitch that we liked, and then once we had chosen and booked in one of them came with us to our pitch to show us where water and EHU were located.
Pitches are all a good size, some open, and others in groups of 6 surrounded by hedging. Shower and toilet facilities are excellent and very well maintained, and there are 3 around the site.
There is a shop and a couple of restaurant/bars, as well as tennis courts, pool, petanque etc.
Although we didn`t use them, there are lots of walks from the site and they even organise group walks for the over 50`s with a guide (free, I believe).
The thing that most impressed us was just how well maintained the whole site was and there was not one part that looked uncared for. The owners have clearly invested, and continue to invest, serious money here in both the infrastructure and staffing.
We would certainly return for a longer visit.

Stayed here for a few nights. Excellent site. Facilities spotless, no tokens for showers and loo paper, hand soap and paper towels provided. At reception I heard them speak Dutch, English and German. For my stay it was quiet, but then I was out of season. This also means that the restaurants and bars are not open every day. There is a railway line very close but I only heard a train about once an hour and did not find it an annoyance at all. Think that in season it is more directed to families and the facilities for these seem excellent. It is also very handily not far from the Euro Space Centre which sounds a great day out for a family. I would say if you want peace and quiet come here out of season or in season find another site as it may well be noisy.

We thought that this was a lovely site. I suppose the trains might be a bit more of an annoyance if you are in a tent; but they go by so quickly that they are hardly noticed, unless they whistle (not often). As said, the facilities are very good and the whole set up is extremely efficient. Your registration no. Is logged into their computer system and this operates the barrier for the duration of your stay. The shop is only open for a couple of hours, morning and late afternoon, but outside those hours someone will go with you if you ask at reception.
It is out in the sticks a bit, the nearest towns are Rochefort(don't bother unless you are going that way), and St. Hubert which is much better, has several small supermarkets and many bars and restaurants. Access from the motorway is easy. There is a fuel station about a mile away towards Rochefort.
One more lovely thing, in the evening large bats can be seen swooping about.

We were attracted here by the region, the star rating, and the facilities. However, we were disappointed by La Clusure on a few significant levels:
Noise. The campsite is very noisy! We had to cut short our trip because of it. The summer entertainment doesn't start until 9pm and often continues - very loudly - after 11pm. There is a campfire site further up the hill, and festivities often continue there until the early hours. Very little regard was shown by those returning from the campfire, perhaps one might speculate due to the supply of banana liqueur from the campshop? There is also a railway track running the entire length of the campsite, just the other side of the stream. Although it's not diesel, trains are frequent and also run late into the night. Noise is certainly an issue.
Facilities. The campsite seems geared up for families with children in the 8-15 bracket. There are lots of activities for them. However for younger campers, especially the non dutch speaking, the facilities are less appealing. It's an interesting aspect of the campsite that, despite being situated in the French-speaking area of Belgium, the campers were over 90% Dutch. This to the extent, that the only itinerary available to us was in Dutch.
On the plus side, the site is sheltered, the front-desk staff are friendly, the shop is moderately well stocked, and there are plenty of interesting walks and visits that you can make in the area. You should go if you are travelling with friends, speak Dutch and enjoy some life in the evenings.

My wife and I stayed at this campsite at the last minute. We were a little apprehensive about staying here due to the size of the site. (over 400 pitches).
However we were pleasantly surprised at how spacious the pitches were and being September how few campers were staying. It is a Dutch owned site and the majority of campers were indeed Dutch, but all the staff spoke good English.
There is a well stocked shop on site, but during the off season it is only open for a couple of hours in the morning and a hour in the evening.
Having no children we can not really comment about the facilities for them but there is a swimming pool, playground, basketball / football pitch, two tennis courts and I believe adventure games organised during the summer.
There is an on site bar and restaurant which is very pleasant and reasonably priced. We used this a lot as the site is a fair hike away from the local village and it is very small.
The toilet/ shower blocks of which there are three (we used block one) were the cleanest that I have ever come across, whenever we visited they were always spotless.
The location is good with a small river flowing alongside the site. There is one downside though, there is a railway running adjacent to the site and the trains are quite frequent even in the dead of night, I can recall a couple passing at three in the morning.
Apart from this this is a really good site and worth a visit, it is even possible to visit Luxembourg for the day from the site.
